Encore une superbe réalisation mettant cette fois ci en scène les trois mousquetaires d'Alexandre Dumas. L'immeuble fut réalisé par Niklas František dans la première décennie du XXe siècle. Il met donc en scène les fameux mousquetaires de Louis XIII en haut de cet immeuble luxueux de cinq étages aux influences historicistes (renaissance et baroque). La proximité avec la rue de Paris n'est surement pas totalement étranger aux choix des personnages. Mais il faut bien l'avouer que c'est quand même quelque chose d'assez rare de voir l'inspiration vers une œuvre littéraire encore récente (~ 60ans), peut-être que ça été un véritable coup de cœur pour le maitre d'œuvre ou d'ouvrage, qui sait.

In the summer of 2012 artist Konstantin Dimopoulos painted trees in Seattle with a biologically safe pigmented water to make a statement about how important trees are to our survival.
“Colour is a powerful stimulant, a means of altering perception and defining space and time,” says Dimopoulos. “The fact that blue is a colour that is not naturally identified with trees suggests to the viewer that something unusual, something out of the ordinary has happened. It becomes a magical transformation. In nature colour is used both as a defensive mechanism, a means of protection, and as a mechanism to attract. The Blue Trees attempts to waken a similar response from viewers. It is within this context that the blue denotes sacredness, something reverential.”
Dimopoulos had previously painted trees blue in Vancouver, BC for that city's 2011 Biennale. Other locations have included Richmond, Virginia and Melbourne in the artist’s home country of Australia.

*This life-sized sculpture stands next to the entrance of Free Flite on Roswell Road (Hwy. 120). I need to find out the actual name of this piece and who created it, if possible. I intend to return and try to shoot it from the opposite side. The small boy’s left leg sticks out and makes it an interesting viewpoint.
This shop has been around for more than 25 years on Hwy. 120. They are really nice people. Great to see an independent merchant succeed.

I dived him and there's a dive profile in here somewhere. 20 minutes/3.5mtrs: It was a nice dive and an unusual art exhibit to visit; even has a willy! I don't expect it was ever designed to be seen underwater.

I was commissioned to create the "Afterlife" wire sculptures to accompany contemporary music soundscape duo "Tale of Us" on their international tour.
The Sculptures design was taken from the Afterlife tour logo & branding images.
The "Tale of Us" tour will take them to audiences in, Greece, Italy, Washington DC, Miami, Toronto, Chicago, New York, Ibiza, Paris, Germany, Marseille, Amsterdam, Belgium, Croatia, Glasgow, Serbia, Barcelona, Portugal, and Morocco.
The "Afterlife" wire sculptures stand just under seven feet in height and are suspended in an upside down position, as shown in the tour logo and branding images, and had their first reveal to an audience on the 25th June at the "Space" venue in Ibiza, Spain.

"The Spirit of McLaren" wire sculpture was commissioned by McLaren Automotive as part of the Ashton Taylor-Smith set design for the launch of the new McLaren 720S Super Car, unveiled at the 2017 Geneva International Motor show.
The clients brief was to create an ethereal figurative sculpture reflecting the cars speed, agility and power.
An extensive visual study of the world's fastest man "Usain Bolt" was carried out over many weeks to achieve the athletic sprinting stance of the final piece.
The finished sculpture was displayed with the 720S super car at The Geneva International Motor Show.

Johnsons of Whixley is a three generation family run commercial nursery, established in 1921.
"The Spirit of The Nurseryman" was commissioned by the Richardson family as a gift to their father John Richardson to celebrate not only his eightieth birthday, but also his fifty four years as Chairman of Johnsons of Whixley, since he acquired the business in 1964.

Wire Sculpture "Spirit of Castara" by Derek Kinzett

The client had a vision for this particular sculpture commission.
As a child the client frequently holidayed with her family on a fishing island called Castara,in the Caribbean, and one of her favorite child hood memories was watching the Castara fishermen bringing in their days catch. Last year whilst on holiday in Africa, she watched the local fishermen carve out fishing boats from tree's using axes and machete's.
She asked the fisherman if they would make her one for a fee, the fishermen agreed and the client had the boat shipped back to England.
I was commissioned to create a life size seated fisherman to be installed in the boat, so "Spirit of Castara" was born.

"Moonbeam" was completely designed by the commissioning client, "Mary Rose Holland "and features a seated nude female, holding a white rose, mounted on a custom built plinth, courtesy of Exhibition Plinth UK (www.exhibitionplinths.co.uk)
The sculpture was finished in Gun Metal Grey, with the paint etched from her face to accentuate the sculptures facial feature and bone structure and the rose was finished in Alpine white, with its stem left as a galvanized smooth silver.
