Oct. 10, 2007. Mirage fighters , passing through the sky of Taipei city.

After their impressive entrance onto the aeronautical stage in 1939 with the Caballero, the Niazi corporation found itself rolling in more looted Sverigan and Anadyran Cervantino gold than it knew what to do with.

Naturally they blew most of it betting against other engineering teams at the bar, but enough was squirreled away to begin work on the next generation of fighter plane, seen here.

Whereas the Caballero and Stupotransport were long-haulers to the extreme, the Leñadora dropped the weight of extra fuel tanks and funneled it into an irresponsible amount of engine power.

Grumman FM-2 Wildcat parked at IWM Duxford with its wings folded, showcasing the iconic carrier-ready design. The folding wings allowed these compact fighters to be stowed efficiently aboard aircraft carriers, maximising space while keeping them ready for action. A classic example of US naval aviation ingenuity from World War II.

A US Navy E/A18G Growler flying during the Growler demo at the 2025 Abbotsford Airshow. It was loud and the pilots didn't hold back. I can still hear the afterburners when I look at these shots.

A beautiful photo pass by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels performance team.

(...) had it not been for the magnificent material contributed by the Polish squadrons and their unsurpassed gallantry, I hesitate to say that the outcome of battle would have been the same.

A46-139 “Phooey”, the flying replica of the Australian CA-13 Boomerang, takes to the skies at the Battle of Britain Airshow in Duxford. First flown in 1991, Phooey was built using original Boomerang parts combined with a T-6 Texan airframe.

Seeing this agile WWII fighter in flight is a thrilling reminder of Australia’s wartime ingenuity and the pilots who flew these remarkable aircraft. A living tribute to the legacy of the Boomerang and the enduring spirit of classic warbirds.

1917 Bristol F2B Fighter

The sky over Duxford filled with the roar of Merlin engines as Spitfires and Hurricanes formed up in a recreation of the legendary Big Wing. It’s a breathtaking moment — dozens of aircraft in close formation, echoing the sights and sounds of 1940. While the tactic itself was hotly debated during the Battle of Britain, seeing these fighters sweep across the airfield together is a stirring tribute to the courage and determination of “the Few.”
