No, I have not joined a Fight Club or started participating in MMA. I have had this idea in the back of my brain for several years now. I just needed to set it up in my garage. I rigged a desk lamp overhead. I duct taped the desk lamp to a long skinny board. I dangled it overhead from a shelf and anchored the whole set up with a bag of grass seed. Very sophisticated set up, I know. It certainly was an inexpensive set up as well.. So why did this shot end up costing me $400? As I was fumbling around in the dark I stepped on my very expensive reading glasses, because that is what one wears when you are 52. Next time I should just hire a model.

I was today years old when I finally saw the movie Fight Club. I've heard everyone talk about the movie, quote the movie, laugh about the movie- but I finally sat down to watch it. I predicted the ending, it had some great scenes, and I can definitely see why it has such a cult-like following.

Hannah and I have been planning to shoot together ever since we met on the Haste the Day farewell tour at the beginning of the year, and we FINALLY made it happen yesterday. It was well worth the wait! I stumbled upon this painting by Brian Viveros and immediately knew I needed to replicate it with Hannah. I don't think she could have been any more perfect for this shoot.

im kinda sentimental about things that went to France with me over the summer. I wore these on top of the Eiffel Tower. Every time I wear them I think about that day, and that amazing sight (:
my body is getting so sore it's not even funny, i cherish sleep now. I made a new friend today, it was very unlikely too, which was a nice surprise!
