This... I have a funny story behind this.
I was swimming in the pool and I forgot it was 2.2 metres deep and when I tried to touch the floor I got the shock of my life. BECAUSE OF THAT, I dont know why but I was reminded of the movie 'Aquamarine' and thought "Mermaid...". It's not very easy taking a selfie in the pool without a remote, with kids running around and people staring at you funnily so I asked this girl I had just met, YES I DID, to model for me and she was all for it. So this is Lucy.
Taken at the Sunset beach, Vancouver.
Of all the kites, I like this one! He looks so real ( I've never seen one in my life though), when the wind moves him, he was acting like an angry fierce dragon. The young man who flew this kite was very talented, he kept him in the sky above bridge and buildings, giving me an opportunity to capture it.
My pc is acting funny:( I am borrowing my husband's pc for the present till I fix mine.
I have been sold like a broodmare. I've been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing, through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any god, not in myths and legends. In myself.

Even the most fierce women have moments of vulnerability, and that vulnerability only adds to their beauty.
Big storm waves roll into the rocky shore at Point Pinos in Pacific Grove as the sun rises through the fog. Sea gulls delight in surfing the updrafts around the swell. Despite the ominous look at dawn, the day turned out to be sunny and beautiful, though the surf remained spectacular throughout the day.

Prompts: a squid coming at you from the deep, first person view of a squid attacking, a squid attack, bubbles everywhere, terror from the deep.

Erbitterter Kampf
Die gegeneinander "kämpfenden" Zweige und Äste erinnerten mich an die Langwaffen mit Seitengewehren des Sezessionskriegs...
Ich hab' leider mal wieder wenig Zeit für flickr... :(
The 'fighting' twigs and branches reminded me of rifles and sidearms used during the American Civil War...
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time for flickr at the moment... :(

In this shot you can see a dried up capsule. The once beautifully colored flowers die and give life to new plants through these dried capsules. That's the circle of life in the plant world! :D

panthera onca.Picture taken near Porto Jofre in Northern Pantanal, Brazil. We had been watching this jaguar lying by the side of the river for a while when he strolled down the bank to get a closer look at us. After a while he lost interest and was just climbing the riverbank again when a noise made him turn and strike this perfect pose for a second before he reached the riverbank and wandered off.
Some rather fierce looking dolphins flank a head mask at the Fontana del Pantheon at Piazza della Rotonda. It is a 'copy', the original early 18th Century marble figures have been removed and are in a museum.
Rome; July 2019
One can say a lot of things about the April weather around here, but it sure is beautiful, even when it is fierce.
Wilderness guy wanted me to take a vote on what you'd like to see most, rodeo or mountain landscape scenes and you have to say why :) Pretty much straight out of the cam. I like these kind, not much work.
A short eared owl scrap - not an uncommon occurence with these bad tempered birds. It's a biggish crop, but if they'd been closer no doubt I'd have clipped a wing or two off!
