Tidal plain between Great Kills Park and Oakwood Beach It is a valuable wetland that was hit hard by Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Which destroyed most of the homes in the Oakwood Beach area. Today the community of Oakwood Beach below Mill Road is a memory.

I was driving home after an afternoon/evening of bike riding and picture taking, and felt this sunset was worth stopping and appreciating for a few minutes.

Stopped roadside on the way back from camera club to capture this one. Can't go through Spring without taking atleast one obligatory canola shot !
