So much of these sketches are thinly-vieled personal reminders like to pay the mortgage or buy new underpants.

oh no. Check out my list. These were the goals I was supposed to have achieved during my week off before returning to work with the guys. this week. Today I took out my stabilo fine liner pen and the only one I managed to cross off was 'sleep'.
Aside form that I haven't got round to trying out those new fandangled crisp flavours from Walkers, my world domination objective is way off (mostly due to the sleep) as is the talent scouting agency ... although me and Nick did have fun training up for this one at a local café.
Still, have no fear avid reader, today was my seven-day appraisal meeting with the guys, and after a thorough evaluation of my effort to output ratio they helped me scale back my key objectives to just the crisps, mariokart and watching Monk Season 2. They're so decent for helping me out with all this stuff, who knows what kind of louche, womanising lounge-pig I'd be without them. Structure, structure, structure.

My friend, Rick, is coming through to Glasgow this weekend for hang time. I like spending time with Rick because he ticks all the friendship boxes this girl could need; video games, photography, coffee and food. I made a list of things I want us to fit into the weekend.
P.S. I have really bad handwriting.
P.P.S. My vacuum has broken and this upsets me greatly. It's why my floor isn't spotless.
Conveniently enough, in case you ever forget how to use your Field Notes, there's some great advice in the back.
Some notable suggestions include gambling debts, hymns/prayers, shady transactions, treasure maps, and half-ass calculations. These are great little books with a ton of personality.
The only remaining concern is around durability. I'm not sure how well they'll hold up living in my back pockets. At 48 pages, they are fairly short, so hopefully they'll fill up before they start to break down.
The "King of Lunch Hour" sketch became the basis of a piece I did for the Next Wave Art Salon.
