Recently I’ve been hand-making these little grid-paper notebooks, using my old comic books (reinforced with thin cardstock) as covers, and giving a few away to friends and such. They’re 3.5x5.5in and have 48 pages each, and are obviously one-of-a-kind.

I'm thinking about making a large quantity of them and selling them in packs of three.

Capitalism!

Fantastic, down-to-earth guy. Sara and I got some shipping pallets and ordered paint as close to Pantone 021 Orange (his favorite color) and we spend the weekend before the shoot painting the pallets in Sara's parents driveway. Good stuff.

With the year coming to an end i decided to make an archival box for my pocket notebooks. It's made from wood reclaimed from wine crates.

Before: contents of three extremely well-worn notebooks, poems from 2009.

After: handmade book of poetry, edition of 50.
