Here is an adult Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) just leaving its perch at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. This is a wonderful refuge located south of Willows, California. We were in our car, but close. I got this photo with my 105mm macro lens along the auto tour in the refuge. See my [Previous] two photos, which form a sequence of the bird taking flight. (Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, California, 6 December 2013)
There was some excitement last summer when a pair of these birds successfully raised a youngster - a first for the refuge. (See this source for more info.) I assume this bird is a winter visitor from the north.
I absolutely love the size and retro feel of the Field Notes pocket notebooks. They're an instant classic — especially in graph paper — and they seem to get better looking with use.
I'm moving to Zhuhai. As with every move over the last several years, my fieldnotes are in my carryon. I really need to get them scanned so I don't have to keep carrying them around. This is in the airport at Beijing.
I think I'm going to do another picture a day iPhone thingy again. Trying to keep in touch again. Show bits of my life in Zhuhai. I'll probably be more haphazard with this project than in the past. Oh - and hopefully soon I'll actually start taking real pics again...
After failing to net a cruiser all of 2017, it was reassuring to land this one on my first swing in 2018!
I assembled these packets full of stuff from Draplin Design and Pinball Publishing.
I also gocco'ed a card for commandsave.com
thanks Draplin!
thanks Pinball!

Abajo: Otra voz suave y baja: "cuop"
Mi paquete llegó con el cierre abierto dentro de una bolsa en la que el United States Postal Services se disculpa por haber dañado el paquete... ¡por suerte no paso nada!
