I spent the whole evening not doing anything special at all, just relaxing by candlelight while listening to music and sorting through some old things.

We were fortunate enough to hear this amazing organ/instrument play while visiting the Musical Instrument Museum of Phoenix, Arizona! Here’s the description: Measuring over 25feet long and weighing over two tons, this dance organ was manufactured in 1926 as organ no. 1002 by the preeminent Antwerp firm of Theofiel Mortier, S.A. “Apollonia” is the female form of “Apollo,” the Greek God of Sun and Music. It was remanufactured by another famous Antwerp company, Gebroeders Decap, in 1950. It was used for traveling shows and dance halls during its working life. It was in Teugel’s collection until the mid-1980s, when it was imported to the US. It now sits in the Mechanical Music Gallery of the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona.

Fascinating to be able to go inside the Blackthorn Tower and see how the process of sea salt production works. It was pretty tight inside and also quite wet so we had to be careful when climbing up the steps to the top of the tower.

Using the ground glass viewfinder, reversed image. What a great feature it was, and also the fact it was reversed gave a new perspective.

This particular image was a new for me, a collaborative post process with my friend Keebler, quite an interesting exercise. Thank you.
