2x Fiat 500 Giardiniera.
Seeing one is exceptional, but two ....!
So, that's why I post it.
This will probably be the only picture of cars from me, but these are icons and so cute!
The 500 Giardiniera (500 K on some markets) estate version of the Fiat 500 is the longest running model. The engine is laid under the floor of the boot to create a flat loading surface. The roof on this model also stretches all the way to the rear, not stopping above the driver and front passenger as it does in other models of the same period. The Giardiniera also features "suicide doors" and was the only model to continue to use this door type into the 1970s. In 1966 production was transferred to Desio where the Giardiniera was built by Fiat subsidiary Autobianchi under their marque from 1968 to 1977.A total of 327,000 Giardinieras were produced, and from 1968 sold only as Autobianchi Giardiniera.
Thank you very much for all your faves and I will react on your given comments as soon as possible
I spotted this Fiat 500 one day in traffic, it had a red bag on the luggage rack in the rear. I lost it in traffic, thought I'd never see it again, these are pretty rare in San Francisco. I decided a while later to go look for a Citroën DS that I know of, and was surprised to find the Fiat in the same street - alas, no DS this time, but a nice enough consolation. I was told that it was shift change at this fire station, and the car belongs to a fireman just arriving for his shift. The red bag must have already gone inside before I got there.
Classic pair … Fiat and Vespa.
I would have preferred a Lambretta and a Ferrari but then they would have been up on bricks before you could say antidisestablishmentarianism
The world famous Fiat Nuova 500 was designed by Dante Giacosa (Roma, 1905-1996). Production lasted for eighteen years.
The 500L was introduced in Aug. 1968 to accompany the more sober 500F. The 'L' stands for Lusso or Luxe, but don't expect to much of this predicate, the 500 stayed very basic.

…by which I mean I couldn’t resist another take on the Cinquecento and Vespa. The Nikkor 135mm f2 DC again.
