This is my submission for the second annual "anything goes challenge", on which we can shoot anything we want. The dog belongs to my friend Kim, and his name is Ace. He absolutely rocks.
As these imploring eyes so frequently remind me. However, Dinky is not above trying to play fetch by himself when he needs his fix. But it's better with a friend.

This was shot indoors with not-so-great lighting, as you can tell from all the pixel noise.
Lucky loves to play fetch. He's a bit obsessed, actually. His number one favorite thing to fetch is anything ring shaped - bracelets, hairbands, washers. He is crazy about rubber bands and will come running if he hears the drawer with rubber bands in it open. Bear will very occasionally play fetch too, but he has to be in the mood for it I guess. He's usually pretty interested when Lucky plays but sometimes gets a bit jealous of all the attention his brother's getting and tackles him mid play.
Hope went farther into the water at Thornton State Beach than she ever has before - probably helped that two other dogs were having so much fun. The beach was great and the waves didn't seem to bother the dogs at all. Plenty of driftwood to throw!
At dawn there was a pirate no show, so Tiny decided to take Messy for a walk.
T: Go fetch, Messy.
M: No you go fetch.
T: No, your the dog - your supposed to go fetch.
M: Why should I pick up after you. Your the one that threw it away - you go fetch.
Tiny can't even get messy to play ball.

A couple brought their dogs to Elliott Bay, playing fetch with sticks in the water. At one point two dogs fetched back the same stick at the same time.
Okay so I'm bored so I made this QUICK edit agin if i spent lots of time on it would have been awesomer :) so enjoying and leave a request!

Fetch And Release Pet Adoption Expo - Over 30 animal shelters and rescue groups from across New Mexico introduced their adoptable pets at an event on May 31 and June 1, 2014 at the Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque.
There were training demonstrations, nutritional information and pet-friendly vendors, along with activities for the entire family such as bounce houses, face painting and food booths. A fund-raising raffle will offered an array of prizes.
The event was sponsored by Justice Great Dane Rescue, City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department, Albuquerque Tents, and The Natural Pet Nutrition Alliance.

on sunday we went to the dogswim. every year the municipal pool invites dogs to come swim on the last day before they close for winter.

man's best friend...........this 12x18 handprinted letterpress poster, features an original Roll&Tumble illustration.....hand-cut by yours truly into woodblocks ( one for each color) and printed, using hand mixed inks in pale yellow, caramel, icy blue, charcoal and tomato onto recycled French 80# cover in " cream".......then paired with handset antique wood type and vintage metal stars.......These were hand cranked one at a time on the ole' Vandercook.........woof-woof!
