~ The thanks-giving festival of India :)

Apart from flying kites, eating sweet/kara pongal and juicy sugarcanes, one another ritual I enjoy is sharing ellu-bella (sesame-jaggery) mixture with friends and neighbors.

At home, the ingredients are fried separately, mixed together and then packed in small brown covers. Then we wish each family in person with our home-made ellu-bella, some fruits and flowers :)
