Today I was on my way to meet some friends when I saw this car and I was soooo happy that I had my camera with me :).

Manufacturer: Ferrari S.p.A., Maranello - Italy

Type: F430 Spider

Engine: 4308cc V-8

Power: 490 bhp / 8.500 rpm

Speed: 311 km/h

Production time: 2005 - 2009

Production outlet:

Curb weight: 1595 kg

Special:

- Designed by Frank Stephenson (Pinninfarina).

- The chassis is made of Alcoa Aluminium.

- The engine is a shared Ferrari/Maserati design.

The rear mid-engine has a six manual gearbox (open-gate manual gearbox or with the F1 paddle shift).

- It was the first production car in the world with E-diff (Electronic Differential). On the track, the E-Diff guarantees maximum grip out of bends, eliminating wheel spin.

- It was also the first production car in the world with the handily placed steering wheel-mounted commutator switch (called "Jackknife" and better known to the Scuderia's drivers as the "manettino") which directly controls the integrated systems governing vehicle dynamics (five different settings which modify the ESC system, "Skyhook" electronic suspension, transmission behavior, throttle response, and E-Diff).

- On the back is an extractor, to increase down force (vacuum) under the car. It is called "Bacca di Squalo", ("sharks jaws").

Not a very great pic but just wanted to show how low this F430 Spider is.....

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale and F430 Spider. Why does everyone need to buy a Ferrari in the same color?

Cars and Coffee Irvine | 1/19/13

Talk about a combo! F430 (with Scuderia stripes), F430 Spider, F430 Scuderia, 458 Italia... I'll go for the Scuderia because it has a yellow livery an it's my favorite.

Any idea about which blue is it? Sorry for the bad framing but this was in a narrow place with many Ferrari's (I'm not complaining :D).
