The California was launched as a grand touring sports car at the 2008 Paris Auto Show. It is a two door 2+2 hardtop powered by a front mounted direct injection 4.3 ltr V8 powering the rear wheels. It is the first Ferrari to feature a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. Ferrari plan to build 5000 units in the first two years of production and the waiting list already backs up to 2012 (what recession). Ferrari spent 1,000 wind tunnel hours working on the drag coefficient and claim that with its hood erected the California is the most aerodynamic Ferrari made to date with a Cd of 0.32.

Found this exotic, a Ferrari California, parked on the street right on Congress Avenue. I love the shape of this neat looking tail light. Its design reminds me a bit of the flower I posted yesterday. A little web research indicates that this auto is going for about $200,000.
