Het leuke aan dit soort evenementen is de variërende opkomst aan auto's. De 328 GTS (1989) is vrij jong vergeleken met de hoogbejaarde Fiat 500 Topolino (1954 - verbeter me als de benaming niet klopt).

The nice thing about this type of event is the varying turnout of cars. The 328 GTS (1989) is quite young compared to the very old Fiat 500 Topolino (1954 - correct me if the name is incorrect).

This is a photograph I took at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2014. It's a 1985 Ferrari 328 GTS and has the F106AB 2,927cc 32 valve V8 engine with twin overhead camshafts per bank. The Ferrari 328 was produced between 1985 and 1989, a total of 7,412 cars - 1,344 of the GTB and 6,068 of the GTS. It replaced the 308 model and was superseded by the Ferrari 348. The numbering of this car, and its predecessor and successor, followed the then Ferrari convention of using the engine capacity then the number of cylinders. Hence the Dino 246 was 2.4 litres and 6 cylinders, the 308 was 3.0 litres and 8 cylinders, and the 328 was 3.2 litres and 8 cylinders.
The 328 is considered by some Ferrari enthusiasts to be one of the most reliable Ferrari's; unlike some models, most engine maintenance can be performed without lifting the engine from the vehicle.

Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show replacing the 308 GTB and GTS. With an increased engine capacity and minor changes to the body.
Essentially the new model was a revised and updated version of the 308 GTS, which had survived for eight years without any radical change to the overall shape. The 328 model presented a softening of the wedge profile of its predecessor, with a redesigned nose that had a more rounded shape, which was complemented by similar treatment to the tail valance panel. The revised nose and tail sections feature integral body coloured bumpers.
The interior trim also had a thorough overhaul, with new designs for the seat panel upholstery and stitching, revised door panels and pulls, together with more modern switchgear,
The V8 engine was essentially of the same design as that used in the 308 Quattrovalvole model, with an increase in capacity to 3185 cc, The engine retained the Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system of its predecessor, but was fitted with a Marelli MED 806 A electronic ignition system, to produce a claimed power output of 270 bhp

This was one of the many Ferraris that I photographed at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017. It's a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS and has the F105CB 3,186cc 32 valve V8 engine with twin overhead camshafts per bank. The Ferrari 328 was produced between 1985 and 1989, 5,526 left-hand drive and 542 right-hand drive, replacing the 308 model and was superseded by the Ferrari 348.

KBP and I took our Ferrari 328 GTS to "Passione Ferrari" at the Silverstone racing circuit in the UK, on Saturday, September 24, 2016. An excellent day of male-bonding in the late summer sunshine.

My Ferrari 328 GTS and my wife's Porsche 911 (996) parked in my favourite field in Whipsnade, Bedfordshire, UK on a fine autumn afternoon. Photographed on Sunday, September 28, 2014, just before the onset of the winter hibernation!
My most favourite Ferrari on that day was this 328 GTS. And this is something what I miss with all the modern Ferraris like 430, 458, 599, 612 etc.: the open gear box!
Hearing the metal click when changing gears ist just awesome as well as you still need some power to move the lever.
The lever is here in first gear and above is reverse.
