This is from my first roll of Ferrania Solaris. It is a remarkable film. In this image a mother runs the fields with her seven-day old colt. The photo reminds me of something that has captured my imagination for years: the Panel of Horses cave painting in Chauvet, France

I have been feeling much more inspired to shoot lately. It's odd how you can go in and out of it with little reason. I couldn't tell you what brings on inspiration. It's something that just hits me. Maybe it's being out in the sun more? That's about the only thing that has changed. It's the hottest month of the year here in Japan and with many places (my house included) not using AC or much at all, the beach has been the relief for staying cool. I have always been an “out in the sun” kind of person, so maybe it's what I need to keep everything in balance.
