As one of Brisbane's oldest residential neighbourhoods, Spring Hill still has many houses dating back to the nineteenth century. A nice area to explore (before developers get their hands on them)

This shot of a curly fence in Brooklyn Heights made me think of looking inside a wave. Here are some surfer terms defined: "The barrel is where the wave is hollow when it is breaking. Surfers love to be in the barrel, otherwise known as the tube or green room." HFF everyone, and may your weekend be totally tubular.
Sometimes we all feel that even in the midst of others we're on the fence post alone. We each must walk through some doors alone although accompanied by those we love.
As I was leaving the beach from my sunrise captures there at the Ocean City Fishing Pier, this view caught my eye with the late morning shadows being cast on the dune, fence, and pier.

I took the opportunity this afternoon to go for a walk in the Lincolnshire wolds around the village of Rothwell. It was one of those afternoons where there was lots of blue sky but the sun only came out for about 5 minutes in the whole 3 hours I was out - not good for photography. Anyway, I love these old fashioned fences, of which there are loads round there.

Sanderstead Hill during the recent foggyness. Vertical panorama stitched from two camera jpegs. Happy Fence Friday!
Fence of beauty, you fill my land
You guard the wonder of Gods hand
That i see with my eyes
Underneath the blue, blue, skies
You do kiss the trees you meet
That do kneel, at your feet
As you walk across the green
Guarding the beauty, forever seen
Over the fence and far away
Where sweet love, will one day play
