Doing the promotional shots for a movie. This is one of the characters. Strobist: AB800s left and right into grided stripbox and AB800 into grided beauty dish above all fired by Cybersync. Really should be viewed on Black

Studio shoot using red and blue lighting gels on two rear lights and softbox lighting the model, shot against a black backdrop and cropped using a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Shot with a Fuji Xt-1 and the Fuji 16-55mm lens. Background is the lastolite highlite with two elinchrom lights in it set to F11. Front light is a large octobox with the quadra ranger in it set to F8. Floor is just a white sheet with perspex on it to give the reflection.

This is an image of a model against a black backdrop. I took a second image of some fairy lights from which I removed the background leaving just the lights and saved this as a PNG file. I then overlaid the original image with the PNG file and erased any lights which fell on the model to create the effect of the lights being behind the model. I controlled the brightness of the lights using the opacity slider for the PNG file layer in Photoshop.

Strobist: AB800 into soft box left and right behind subject and AB800 into soft box high with reflector low all fired by pocketwizard.

This is a shoot i did for my AS level exam on the body. I chose to do a narrative on my friend Sara and what she felt where her imperfections. She used to be a body builder and in turn used to being surround by "perfection" so tended to always compare herself to others. I wanted to bring in quite a fashion shoot style of work because there is alot of pressure on the media to change its ways because of how they promote the body. I used high contrasting lighting so that "imperfections" where easily visable. She started the shoot in clothes with a feeling of anxiousness and awkward poses, and slowly items where taken off and she became relaxed and more confident in herself. By facing her fears, she started to believe in herself.
