Ollie wanted to pop in and say hi, even though I told him I still don’t have proper time for flickr for a little while yet, and that since he doesn’t cooperate when I pull out my camera, I don’t even have great shots of him to post. He’s a ‘pushy cat’, and pretty much gets what he wants… so hello and happy weekend from Ollie and me!
...I do not see an animal.
I see a living being.
I see a friend.
I feel a soul.
this was my dear little friend May.
The only calico I've ever shared my home with.

Bo-Bo is getting up in the years, but continues to be a fastidious groomer, has class and happens to be also deaf.
I hadn't seen her for days. Glad to see she's all right. Now that the harshest days of winter are upon us the cats in the feral colony are appearing in numbers hoping for a meal. The winds along the lakeshore have been howling at 15-30mph with temps in the teens. Some days the winds calm down a bit and the cats come out of their dens to forage. It's going to be a long winter.
This is the little black cat that brought Larry and I together.
We met while rescuing her and her 4 brothers when they were kittens.
She had a long and wonderful life here at Cat Hill Farm.
My sister's cat flirts with the camera.
THIS CAT (ALFIE) WAS LOST IN THE BASINSTOKE AREA AT THE END OF SUMMER 2009. IF FOUND PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.
Taken with a Nikon D40 fitted with a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens.
More of my photos can be found here.
This gorgeous kitty befriended us today at our allotment. We have seen her before but she's never been friendly. Today she would not leave us alone, I wanted to bring her home!
I wish I knew!
Winston is a big mystery.
He was still living in our garage late last spring, and then all of the sudden he was gone. We didn't see him during the summer, except for a day or two in July.
A couple of weeks after I got back from the shore, I saw him sitting in the garage doorway.
As soon as he saw me, he walked back into the garage. When he saw that I was following, he ran up the ladder to the 2nd floor and sat near the dishes we'd fed him in, that were now empty, and stared at me.
So now we're back to the same routine we had before he disappeared.
He shows up at dinner time, when I call everyone else in.
He sits in the garage doorway until I bring his dish of food, then races up the ladder to "his spot". In the morning, he'll be sitting in the doorway again, and we repeat the process.
Does he have another place he goes that feeds him?
Does anyone actually "own" him?
Does he now consider Cat Hill Farm his "winter residence"?
He still won't let me touch him. He's VERY skittish.
I sure wish I could get him checked out by a vet.
I've considered trapping him, however I'm not into stressing him out.
