Octagonal Casemaker Moth Coleophora octagonella (Hodges#1398) at York River State Park, VA. The Thorn-like case is constructed form the caterpillar's Feces.
Room 134 over run with mice and vermin. Feces and holes everywhere. Bug powder was useless. One mouse got shot with a pellet.
This is an image of guinea pig feces. We received this sample from a 8th grade class that we analyzed with them via a remote ESEM outreach session. We thought this could have been a seed that was beginning to sprout in the feces sample. When we shared this theory with the class, one student said "so you're telling me that a seed is growing in this poop?" It was a hilarious moment that we will always remember.
After eating everything they could from this gum leaf, the insects left nothing but a skeleton littered with their feces..

Yes, there are strange fungi that inhabit the feces of animals. The white parts are the fruiting bodies.
This was found in the hills east of San Leandro, CA. I've got a ton of pictures of different examples of scat from that area, and would love to get some help identifying them.

A fecal sac is a mucous membrane that surrounds the feces of some nesting bird's to make it easier for the parent bird to remove fecal matter from the nest.
