Students in Reese’s class presented their semester project reports on child care statistics in Carbondale and southern Illinois. According to Longueville, 45 percent of parents miss at least one day of work every six months due to poor child care. “Currently, child care in Carbondale costs the same as tuition to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale,” Longueville said. Dwayne Morgan, a Redshirted Junior, from Baltimore, Maryland, makes a block with the help of his teammate Jamal Aytes, a Senior, from San Clemente, California. Both are Forwards for the Southern Utah Basketball Team. Morgan led the team with 21 points total and Aytes followed along with 7 points. The team lost 96-91 against the Vikings.
