Out with Gnasher and Lucy. I have been promising to paint her a Gruffalo for ages, but today I didn't have to bother as Mr photorealism himself was on Gruffalo duty.
Started at about 11 and finished at 2:30 due to rain stopping play. Fuck this summer and the non stop shitty weather!
Lucy says to all painters at Tottenham: "Please don't paint over the Gruffalo and please don't paint over my name and don't paint over the mouse. Because it's really good"

So I go painting on the same day that England are playing and I decide to get an extra bus home to make sure that I get home in time for the football.
I looked at the bus routes at the bus stop.
The 123 goes past Blackhorse Road Station. (I need to get my other bus at Blackhorse Road Station) the 230 bus also goes past Blackhorse Road Station.
The first bus that turns up is a W4 (which I hadn't checked where it went)
f*ck it - all these buses are going to go down this road, the station is at the end of the road, the bus can't make any deviations because the road has reservoirs either side.. So Get on the bus, swipe my pass and find a seat.
Bus then pulls away from the bus stop and gets into right hand lane, does the only right hand turn it can before we get to the reservoirs and does another right after 30 feet, so I'm now in a parallel road going backwards to where I started my journey.
I ding the bell and the bus stops. I get off the bus and I'm now 50 yards behind where I started. I start walking across the grass between the road and pavement and some 50 year old woman stops me.
"Excuse me, are you local?" Do you know where the W4 bus route goes?"
I point at the bus stop where I started my journey. "When I got on that bus, I was over there, I got off the bus there (I point at the other bus stop behind me), So I am probably the very worst person you could ask about where the W4 bus route goes!"
I think I had made her day with my short story because I'm sure when she walked off, her shoulders were moving through laughing.
I gave up waiting for a 123 or 230 and walked down the road to Blackhorse Road Station. Got home in time for football, but £1.20 worse off.

I was shooting this with my back against the other side of the street. This area of the city is called The Tube for a reason. A lot of excellent tapas bars around, btw.
