Got crazy trying to build a car with the things I had :-) I started thinking I could use a skyscraper city line with just the staplers but this one looks better

The hair clip is about 50mm in length , I shot 13 photos and stack up to this final image .

Fastener

Buckle on a belt that hasn't been used in a very long time.

The length between the outer edges of the buckle and the belt loop is about 2½" (63.5mm).

This image was captured for the Macro Mondays theme: 'Fastener'.

[The pear is an immature green pear, plucked from my own tree, that in this image measures about 60mm from top (including stalk and leaf) to bottom. I have adjusted the hue to make it a little more tasty.]

This fastener clips one end of the pearl necklace to the other with a sliding clip on the back. The safety chain also fastens together to give it double security.

The MM theme for 4/7 is fasteners and I did have a bunch. I chose this one bc it’s so darn cute! Measured it and it’s well under the 3 inch parameters. Will put up a size verification later.

The external sparkle of the illuminated pushbutton switch mounting ring against the internal glow of its light.

We were camped next to Scott in Petaluma, CA, an iron worker on the Golden Gate Bridge restoration project. Rivets from the original construction where being replaced with high strength structural steel bolts - around 2003.

I went back to my costume jewellery box for this theme - fastener for Macro Monday group.

Feeling creative tonight. No AI here, just screws placed on a mirror and a print of the sky I made years ago for a backdrop. This is also focus bracketed approx. 50 shots with my R5 and 100mm macro lens.

A rusty fastener on a rusty tool used to fasten fasteners

For Macro Mondays theme "fasteners", these are joining biscuits. They are used by woodworkers to join two planks of wood side by side, such as to form a table top. Slots are cut in the edges of the planks with a special tool, glue is applied to the edges and in the slots, the biscuits are inserted, and the planks are then pushed together (and held by clamps until the glue dries. The joining power is increased because the biscuits expand as the absorb liquid (normally water) from the glue.
