This is the fastener that holds down the agitator and also the auger. The metal bolt is double-ended. The bottom half threads into the top of the transmission shaft, and the upper half has the nylon fastener threaded on to it. When I removed the nylon fastener, instead of the nylon unscrewing from the upper half of the bolt, the bolt unscrewed from the transmission.
Not a big deal to get it apart, but the bolt easily becomes loose (from the transmission end).
