These handsome guys were gifted to me by my friend Aaron, better known to you all as the handsome and always fabulous, LV lover Twisted Elegance.
Thanks again my dear! These guys have been dressed since before the holidays and had been waiting patiently for me to show them off.
Of course, all but one of them have been redressed several times since then, but finally, here they are!

All guys were rebodied with Mattel bodies, because my guys don't need to be pivotal, they just need to stand there and look pretty! ;)

Coleção lançada em 2012 pela China Glaze, em colaboração com a Lionsgate, referente ao filme (e os livros) The Hunger Games.
Eu gostei muito dos livros, principalmente do primeiro e do segundo e quando fiquei sabendo que lançariam a coleção eu fiquei doida por ela! No começo não ia comprar todos, mas depois pensei bem e resolvi completar.... ainda bem!!! Ia me arrepender muito se não tivesse comprado alguns alí que ficaram de fora na primeira leva que veio aqui para casa (o Riveting principalmente). Do filme eu gostei também, mas não tanto como dos livros, até porque deixaram vários detalhes que considero importantes de fora do filme ¬¬
Ela é composta por 12 esmaltes, cujos nomes referem-se às atividades principais dos Distritos de Panem:
O Distrito 1 é especializado em produzir itens de luxo, jóias principalmente, é um dos distritos mais ricos entre os 12 oficiais, junto com o 2 e o 4.
Distrito 2 – Stone Cold
O Distrito 2 é especializado em alvenaria, é bem grande, fica na área das montanhas rochosas e tem várias minas, além disso ele serve como centro de treinamento para os guardas da Capital. É outro dos distritos mais beneficiados pela Capital.
Distrito 3 – Riveting
O Distrito 3 é especializado na produção de eletrônicos / tecnologia, apesar disso não é um distrito com bastante recursos financeiros.
O Distrito 4 é especializado em pesca, fica na região costeira e é outro que tem bastante dinheiro (comparado aos demais).
O Distrito 5 é especializado em produzir energia elétrica, não comentam muito sobre ele no livro, mas a menina representante que aparece no livro 1 é bem destacada e apronta várias coisas.
O Distrito 6 é especializado em transportes, nos livros não falam muito sobre ele também, mas citam que várias pessoas de lá têm problemas com dependência de drogas (algum tipo relacionado a morfina).
O Distrito 7 é especializado em madeira e subprodutos, como o papel e madeira serrada e não falam muito sobre ele nos livros.
O Distrito 8 é especializado na indústria têxtil, eles inclusive têm uma fábrica que produz os uniformes dos guardas da Capital.
O Distrito 9 é especializado na cultura de grãos, tem várias fábricas e não falam muito sobre ele nos livros.
O Distrito 10 é especializado em pecuária e não falam muito sobre ele nos livros.
O Distrito 11 é especializado em agricultura, outro distrito bem “pobre”, ele é bem grande e além de plantas e vegetais o povo conhece bem as ervas medicinais.
O Distrito 12 é especializado em mineração tendo várias minas de carvão, é o mais pobre dos 12 distritos e é de lá que vêm a Katniss e o Peeta.

earth to temporarily living in a foreign country.
This is not your permanent home or final destination.
You’re just passing through, just
visiting earth. The Bible uses terms like alien,
pilgrim, foreigner, stranger, visitor, and traveler
to describe our brief stay on earth. David said,
“I am but a foreigner here on earth,” and St.
Peter explained, “If you call God your Father, live
your time as temporary residents on earth.”

The heart of worship is surrender.
Surrender is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the
word submission. It implies losing, and no one wants to be a loser.
Surrender evokes the unpleasant images of admitting defeat in
battle, forfeiting a game, or yielding to a stronger opponent. The
word is almost always used in a negative context. Captured
criminals surrender to authorities.
In today’s competitive culture we are taught to never give up
and never give in –so we don’t hear much about surrendering. If
winning is everything, surrendering is unthinkable. We would
rather talk about winning, succeeding, overcoming, and
conquering than yielding, submitting, obeying, and surrendering.
But surrendering to God is the heart of worship. It is the natural
response to God’s amazing love and mercy. We give ourselves to
him, not out of fear or duty, but in love, “because he first loved us. “

The gym at the leisure centre is closed for refurbishment until the middle of the month. For the time being, the dance studio has some of the old equipment, but it is hit and miss whether the machine you want to use might be free.
We were going to the gym this morning, then Jools said she would rather go swimming, and I changed my mind and instead walked the other half of the new Fasttrack bus route from Richmond Park in Whitfield to the entrance to Tesco.
The reason was so that I could do some botany whilst walking, and get some steps in before it got too warm.
Up at half six, drank my coffee, so by half seven we were out, Jools dropping me off in the Stepford-like new estate of Richmond Park.
As it is a new build, most places all look the same, with 2.5 cars parked outside and Astroturf for lawns.
I walk down Red Kite Way, odd as we don't have many Red Kites in Dover, past the massive new phase being built the other side of the road, round a bend where there was a nice native wildflower meadow between me and the first row of identical houses.
No Orchids now, any I think the soil was turned over too recently. Orchids need a couple of years to grow and establish, but lots of Ragwort, Weld, Mallow, Sorrel and various dandelion and thistles, all growing like crazy.
I'm sure someone is going to complain and get it strimmed and flayed soon.
Its not so far on this the northern part of Fasttrack, and soon the road rises to approach the bridge over the A2.
I crossed over Red Kite Road, across the entrance and exit into Tesco, over the other side of the road past Perry's multiple car dealerships and on to the sports centre, where I went in and ordered a banana milkshake and peanut butter flapjack, while I waited for Jools to come out of the pool, shower and get dressed.
I had just finished my snack when she came out, so she drove us home where it was breakfast time.
Despite being sunny, the breeze was fresh and took the edge off the temperatures. We ate breakfast at the dining room table, then did chores in the garden and round the house until it was lunch.
This life is not all there is.
Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal
before the real production. You will spend far
more time on the other side of death—in

staging area, the preschool, the tryout for your

the actual game; the warm-up lap before the

Looking very fresh in its new home of Brighton this afternoon, 30th April, 2025, Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 151 (BN14 CUH) was new to Metrobus as their number 3 and was repainted allover red for temporary use by London General on Kent Fasttrack services in Autumn, 2024.
This was actually taken on Saturday, but could not be uploaded due to a storm killing my Internet connection, and the Dart Bus was on Route 455 to and from Singlewell, and I understand that it is now rare because of its Wind Up destination box.

Da série "fogo no rabo", como diria nossa querida Kelly... Não contente com a lindeza do Fast Track, quis inventar - mulherada veio ver e usufruir dos meus vidrinhos, fiquei com vontade de fazer algo nas unhas também, mas não ia tirar esse lindo que tinha sido passado ontem... A intenção inicial era fazer nail art, mas a paciência não anda das melhores, então tasquei degradê nelas. Como não uso gringo pras lambanças prontofalei, mixei o Boca de Sino e o Raio de Sol, que tem brilhos parecidos com os do Fast Track, e carimbei nas unhas com um pedacinho de esponja, do jeito que a Sammy ensinou aqui... Gostei! Tons de outono...

From November 17th 2024, Stagecoach Route 61 at Dover will no longer serve West Whitfield, leaving Sandwich Road and most of the adjoining estates at the mercy of the Stagecoach Connect Splinter Van and New KCC Contracted Route 67, including narrow Forge Lane which is a section of road that will no longer be served when "FastTrack" starts, hence why I bothered to do this shot.
