...I'm not a fan of disturbing wildlife, and as you can see, this fine specimen was on its nest. The bird had, however, built its nest by the side of a path. Not a very often used path I grant you, but the problem for us was to walk past and disturb the bird, or to go back and re-route.
The Arran Coastal path, at this point takes the shore route around Whitfarland Point for around 2 miles. To have taken a detour would have added 4 miles to the day's walk, which was already the longest day (Blackwaterfoot to Lochranza - 20+ miles!).
So, we decided to risk it - the six of us were very careful as we walked past (I was a good 10 metres away when taking this shot), but we did justifiably receive a hiss as we went past.
I doubt the bird saw another human being for the next week.
Fan Bay (well the track just above Fan Bay).
I've looked through my snow bunting shots and this is the earliest I've seen/photographed them by several weeks. I've had a few mid October birds but most are November or later.

Making an appearance for 2020. A little out of focus branch just in the wrong area. I tried to move to a different spot, but it flew away.
We didn’t to the Fan Dance this day but the mixed group did well and undertook a good proportion of it.
Yn 568ex, one through octabox, second through medium soft box, both half power, triggered with yn622c-tx.

While touring the Kenai Fjords, the boat operator put us up close to some shear cliffs that had waterfalls on them. This looked to be a fan waterfall but with some interesting interactions with the underlying cliff causing the water to radiate and spray in a specific pattern.
