MMC Feral Rex. Best combiner to date in my collection. MMC has high standards and listens to the community. Heavy as it is I can still manage to pull off cooler poses than other combiners.
I didn't photoshop the visor. The head has a built in light which I turned on.
Test shot for the super project I've had to put off for eons. Just wanted to test what colors, layers, and effects I'll have to use. The floating rubble will be handled differently and the lighting won't be as rich or glow like through out. Only on certain frames.
Finished the Dual Kit Bumblebee a few weeks ago, then started to work on other projects. I intended on getting a military dio, but I just used my BRS dio parts and used some packing paper for the ground.
Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master figures by Figma. BRS cannon is from Revoltech Black Getter Dragon.
I love these figures. They're small, nicely detailed, well articulated, and come with cool extras. BRS's actual cannon is bigger than it should be imo, but looks cool anyway when posed with the figure with the help of an extra figma stand that's included. I prefer the RT's BGD cannon though.
(Sorry for the multiple repost of this image. The first was a rushed job and the second was the wrong file.)

Fansproject combiners.
Got tired of seeing the combined form so this is how they look on my shelf. Yes, with a city and special effects.. in my mind.
I'll start getting city accessories once the modular city board comes in (eg. lights, signs, trash bins, pedestrians, etc.).
Kick ass IM figure by Bandai. Check out my short review and load of pics. That is.. if you're interested: dremerc.blogspot.com/2015/04/sh-figuarts-iron-man-mark-43...

THS-02 Hybrid Style Convoy vs THS-02B Hybrid Style Convoy by Takara.
Notes:
-Tweeked image. Last one was kinda rushed.
-Used the set from a previous shoot.
-Ground is print on fleece.
Iron Man figure from Revoltech line by Kaiyodo. Awesome figure, details, and articulation. I panel lined it with a gundam marker. This is my Hot Toys substitute. :-p
This goal in this Iron Man set is to show off the poseability of the figure and experiment on different cinematic sequences.
Figma Strength with some modified weaponry. WIP. A little more info and pics here:
dremerc.blogspot.com/2015/04/figma-strength-mod-in-progre...
PS. Yes, the chain in the chainsaw rotates (via a winding mechanism).
Maketoys Green Giant (not Devastator's Constructicons) crew: Wheel Loader (back left), Bulldozer (front left), Mixer (center), Crane (back middle), Dump Truck (front right), Excavator (back right).
Awesome set with nice transformations, cool aesthetics, and good use of weaponry. Some have better articulation than others.
The 2 with the most limited articulation: 1. Dozer (knees and ankles) - I fixed them a bit, but still has balance some issues.
2. Wheel loader (shoulders) - but the rest has excellent range of movement.
Pros:
Aesthetics
Good size
Weaponry
Articulation and poseability
Color app is excellent
Cons:
Had to tighten joints on a few of them.
Limited articulation on the 2 mentioned.
Notes:
Diorama set on my bed (my g/f doesn't know..shhh). Grassy hill is a green blanket. Floor is fleece print. What's meant to be perceived as a distant snowy mountain (partially visible) is a bed cover.

Faithfulness to the original: 5
Quality: 5

Just as awesome as the 2nd type, but with detachable armor.
Left to right:
Gurren Lagan by Riobot, Dendoh and Shin Mazinger by Bandai (Super Robot Chogokin line), Tobikage by Bandai (Soul of Chogokin line).
Christmas dioramas from Lemax repainted as desert scenes. Cheap and highly recommended.
I've been m.i.a. because I moved a couple of months ago. Recently started working on models, dioramas, and a super project. Kinda hard since it's been a rough start at my new.. place, job, etc.
Iron Man figure from Revoltech line by Kaiyodo. Awesome figure, details, and articulation. I panel lined the it with a gundam marker. This is my Hot Toys substitute. :-p
This goal in this Iron Man set is to show off the poseability of the figure and experiment on different cinematic sequences.
Maketoys Battle Tanker (right) and Fans Project Steelcore.
So much Devastation it couldn't be contained in one image. To be continued.
Hot Toys Bruce Lee DX and Hot Toys Classic Predator.
Bruce Lee DX is ridiculously awesome. Classic Predator is great. I recently finished a jungle diorama for Pred, and put Bruce Lee in for kicks (no pun intented).
Real Grade Zaku II vs RX-78-2. I enjoy the build and the aesthetics, but the hands and limited range of motions I don't like.
Looking forward to the reboot of the anime.
What I really like about Black Rock Shooter is that you can let your imagination go wild when depicting her and her world. The story is not restricted to a linear tale where all things are known. That makes taking pics of her so much fun!
Black Rock Shooter figure rocking out in the middle by Good Smile Company from the Figma division.
Guitar Nevin by Kaiyodo from the Revoltech division. Part of Revoltech Dante accesories.
Tifa figure by Play Arts.
Most of the weapons are from revoltech figures, and there's a Karas' sword on the right. Dragon armor piece from Madarin Spawn figure by McFarlane Toys.
Finally got around to doing this image. It's been in my mind for weeks.
There is a lot of work to do in Japan, but it doesn't take that much for us far away to do our part in aiding the victims affected by the disasters; every little bit helps. There are charity organizations that you can donate to.
Model is RG 1/144 RX-78-2 by Bandai. Best and most enjoyable model I've put together.
I really like the extras the figure comes with such as the smoke and blast effect parts.
Black Rock Shooter: The Game version figure by Goodsmile Company through Figma division.
The game came out for Sony PSP in 2011 in Japan. Unfortunately for me and many others there was no US version of the game. Ridiculous!
As for the figure, it's great. Good articulation, nice color application, extra faces and hands, badass canon, and a cool looking sword. The back of the coat is articulated and resembles futuristic jet wings.
Figma will also make the bike she rides in the game, and of course I must have it.
Note: I wanted a sunset, but with a different tone than what I normally use.
Zoids: Saix model by Kotobukiya. I don't know anything about the Zoids storyline, but I this robot was too badass looking for me to pass up.
Maketoys Green Giant. I thought if I was going to take a picture of this mega badass, the final image should be over the top.
About the image:
The fireblasts were fired by Steelcore and Battle Tanker Optimus Prime (side b). Fans Project's Warcry is on the left hidden in fire and smoke as he changes his blaster's barrel, and is unaware of a semi cloaked Mirage charging towars him.
Green Giant *coughDevastatorcough* is about to finish off Sunstreaker who's wounded, but his brother Sideswipe steps in and tries to buy him a few nanoclicks to get away.
Notes:
This was the original version, but I posted one with a brighter and warmer tone. I decided this one looks better because Green Giant stands out more, and I like the cool and warm color contrast better.
Based on the Wii fighting game Tatsunoko vs Capcom by Capcom. Tatsunoko side:
-Armor Plus Tekkaman Blade gloss color version by Bandai(left)
-Armor Plus SG Tekkaman Aki by Bandai (mid right)
Capcom side:
-Revoltech: Date Masamune by Kaiyodo
(mid left)
-Revoltech: Sanada Yukimura by Kaiyodo (right)
About the image:
Wanted a field similar to one that Sengoku Basara anime may have with beautiful golden lighting.
Grass was super-imposed over painted/textured paper on a layer set to overlay.
I painted the sky with custom brushes and non-custom brushes. Other painted portions include: grass touch ups, 70% of sfx on the figures, dead tree, and mountains .
I've been wanting to this shot for a while.
I finally made a diorama large enough for my mechas. It's made of styrofoam which I cut with a styrofoam cutter for large cuts, and a regular hobby knive to carve out all the details. Then I used gesso as a base and colored it.
FansProject Warbot Assaulter (left) and Warbot Steelcore (right).
Notes:
Unfolding Assaulters forearms forms what seems to be a shield.
I didn't want Steelcore's face hidden so he's not firing missiles from the right shoulder.
I illustrated the Cybertronian moon since I didn't want to use a copyright image, and it was fun to do anyway.
S.I.C. Kamen Rider Super One by Bandai.
Very cool figure. SIC figures are know to have loose joints, and this dude is no exception, but I know how to fix that, plus I increased the degree of articulation on its legs for wider stance. Figure comes with extra hands and several alternate cool looking gauntlets.
Rockman Zero plastic kit by Kotobukiya. Easy build. Cool figure. Articulation is decent enough to pull off cool poses, but not as extreme as I'd like.
I sprayed the figure with flat coat spray. The fingers were sprayed with light grey primer, then flat white, followed by flat coat. Finished off with panel line.
The robot cat in the background is Zoids Saix model kit by Kotobukiya. Too bad I didn't have the modeling skills then that I do now.
MMC's Azalea review up on my blog along with pics and behind the scene shot. Have a look.

P.S. Deleted my facebook page, but will make a new one in a few weeks.
Wanted to do a series about untold adventures of the Kamen Riders in Ventara.
Left to right: Incisor, Black Knight, Dragon Knight, Strike, Torque.
Figma Kamen Rider Dragon Knight action figures by Good Smile Company.
Why Takara has not made anymore Transformers like this, The Transformers: Hybrid Style Convoy - 02 is beyond my comprehension. It's an awesome figure! I'd love to see a Grimlock, Megatron, and Rodimus Prime version.
I tried to minimize the amount of digital post processing in this image, so it's only 5 layers: original image, sky, blue haze, dust, and glowing eyes.
Fansproject Causality: Car Crash (left) and T-Bone (right). These little bots are pretty fantastic, they both have good looking robot and alt car modes. Articulation is good, but I had to use my dremel to sand down the ankle joints to increase range of motion. And I tightened the hip joints.
On T-Bone..(odd name for a robot) I sanded down parts of the shoulders to increase range of motion.
Notes:
-This picture and idea was done before the Motoko image.
-Since they're tributes to Stunticons I wanted them to be in really cool and acrobatic poses suggesting they're hard targets to keep up with.
Reveal The Shield Optimus Prime (Hasbro) with Battle Tanker upgrade set by Maketoys. Other figures shown are Stormbomb, Backfiery, Thundershred, and Flameblast by Fansproject. Optimus Prime's (led) blaster is by TFC.
Redone image with: wider space, better dof, dynamic action, dramatic background, experimental lighting and tone.
Mikasa Ackerman figure by Figma. Manga and anime badass from Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin).
Good Smile Co did a great job with this figure. She has really good articulation even with the complex gear and poncho on. Pretty amazing.
I may not have an anglo-saxon appearance, but...screw it, live models have schedules and what not. Besides, I've been wanting to do a self portrait like this for a while.
