While we try to teach

our children about life,

our children teach us

Lazy Days

Happy weekend everyone!

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment or fave this image

Am away in the day, catch up later, cheers!

Escaping the corona to a local watersite, enjoyed.

While taking a drive in the country we came upon this Momma and her baby colt.

It is always beautiful to spend time with family at beach during Sun set.

Another beautiful Sunset...

Fun day today with my daughter. We took a drive through the mountains and stopped at a few nice places. Really liked the atmosphere here.

It didn't take Tigelaar long to discover the window with the view of all the pigeons and he's quite happy with his new catTV.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Out with my grandson

Ludo in this vintage version is always "hygge" to play, even in moments like this where fate and luck can be with you... or not :-)

This cat sleeps a lot for only being 8 months old. I know cats like their sleep, but this guy seems to be passed out 20 or so hours a day which seems excessive for a kitten.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

With another bluebird sky today, it looked like these folks were setting up their Otter ice fishing tents for comfort - gas powered ice augers and even interlocking foam flooring squares for insulation. It took only minutes to set up but the kids had already found a couple of existing holes to try their luck.

Usui 3rd Bridge is the largest arched brick bridge in Japan and part of a beautiful 6-kilometer trail called Apt Road. The trail follows a disused rail line that passes over six bridges and ten tunnels, and is surrounded by national park. The bridge is nicknamed “Megane bashi,” meaning “spectacles bridge,” because of its four arches.

It was built in 1892 in collaboration with British engineer Charles Assheton Whately Pownall during the Meiji era (1868–1912) when Japan was rapidly modernizing. It served as a railway passage between Yokokawa in Gunma and Karuizawa in Nagano. Services stopped in 1963, and the bridge was repurposed as part of a nature trail in 2001.

Little Miss was posed nicely again today so a photo of her two days in a row it is.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

It’s been a while since the last time I’ve uploaded a photograph. Came back last week from a very nice holiday in Spain, where I visited the Costa Brava. With my own family, my brothers families and the cousins we had a wonderful time, and I did a bit of landscape photography as well (not much though). But off course I also enjoy making portraits of my children and cousins, and with the 85mm I got a lovely tool😊 Therefore I like to show an image of two cousins (that weren’t on the vacation actually), from a shoot I did earlier for my lovely sister.

I’m going to take my time the next few days, to look at all the photographs I’ve missed last few weeks. Excuse me for not responding as much as I used to, I just couldn’t find the time to be active on Flickr lately. I'm hoping to be a bit more in the coming weeks!

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!

well, the three who like pictures :)

*so technically not right, but I got to love it :)

**used michelle black's BW essence!

I was taking some shots of the Nile Geese and family when the Beagle came running towards the birds as most dogs do, to my surprise the Father spread his wings and stood up to the dog opened his wings and protected his family, the dog then ran off..what a brave Goose... Amazing

Gizmo looking out the window from the comfort of the bed, not the best view but oh so cozy.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Explore #287 by the time I noticed it

My 283rd to make Explore

As my Mom used to say to my brother and I when we were kids, it's snot sticking cold today!

Outside, it feels colder than -40°C (I believe it's the same in Fahrenheit for my American friends). Basically, frost bite is a real possibility.

It's even too cold for Sock with his double coat, he's getting quick trips outside and no walks for today and tomorrow and the change in routine has really messed with him.

Luckily, by Sunday it's supposed to be back up to reasonable and he can get back to exploring on his walks!

Hope everyone is doing well, staying safe and keeping warm!

After almost two months of isolation I finally saw and hugged my eighteen-month-old granddaughter. As you can see, she with her mother enjoys in my yard at the spring sun.

In our country, the situation with the coronavirus has calmed down quite a bit, so we can be often together, of course with all the precautions.

Be safe and healthy!

This is the look on my sons faces when I say it's time to go in. And I don't blame them. Around 8:30 the heat has subdued and the cool evening sets in. The skies are lit with a peach and plum glow. There is just enough light that begs one to stay outdoors. I often let my little ones play outside until the light has completely vanished and then we reluctantly go inside. Sometimes we stay out and watch the stars turn on one by one like twinkling lights across the sky, Summer evenings are my favorite part of summer. It's a time to reflect in the refreshing coolness of the evening from the feverish craze of the day. It reminds me of catching a fever when I was kid and my Mom would come and gently touch my forehead to gauge my temperature. Her hands were cool and comforting against my hot head and I could safely drift asleep. Summer evenings are the same way, a time to reflect and let the anxieties of the day softy fade away. How do you find yourself enjoying the Summer? I hope you all are well and having a great summer so far!!:)

In time of test, family is the best ♥

In our garden , is always great time for FamilyTime :)

This 500 piece puzzle should keep us busy for a while. It will be the perfect project for this chilly weekend.
