Known for its stunning architecture and sacred relics, Wat Chalong is a lesser known religious site in Phuket.
This is not the most popular attraction in Phuket, but if you have some extra time, it's worth seeing. This is not the most busy spot in the resort island, but it can still see large crowds during peak times and during peak travel season.
What is Wat Chalong?
Wat Chalong, also known as Wat Chaiyathararam, is the largest and most revered Buddhist temple in Phuket, Thailand. Located in the Chalong subdistrict, the temple complex is renowned for its stunning architecture, intricate decorations, and sacred relics. Visitors can explore the various buildings and shrines within the temple grounds, including the main hall housing statues of Buddha and other revered monks, as well as the grand pagoda containing a fragment of Buddha's bone. Wat Chalong is a popular destination for spiritual pilgrimages, cultural sightseeing, and learning about Thai Buddhism and traditions. The temple also hosts annual festivals and religious ceremonies, attracting worshippers and tourists from around the world.
Families with children will sometimes enjoy it, but it really depends on their level of interest. This is a fairly romantic spot for couples, so be sure to come if you're traveling as a couple. Budget travelers and backpackers usually enjoy their visit here.
A hand extended.
A boat held steady.
And a lesson unfolding gently—
that movement, like care,
is something we learn
by watching it done well.
While eating lunch in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica we were visited by a group of squirrel monkeys. We could hear them before we could see them. I followed the sounds and found a mother with her young, taking a quiet moment to sit still before joining the others at the cafe.

Matka Canyon is one of the most enchanting natural places in North Macedonia — a deep gorge carved over thousands of years by the Treska River, where steep limestone walls rise almost straight out of the water. The surface of the river reflects the green slopes around it as if the canyon were painting itself. On the shore, a single kayak rests quietly against a wooden platform, ready for a calm journey back over the still water. In the photo, a man patiently waits at the entrance of the cave while his wife and child take their final steps across the pebbled shore. They have just come from the mysterious Vrelo Cave, where hidden chambers, silent pools and shadowy depths create a world of their own. Stepping outside again, into the soft canyon light, everything seems to breathe more freely. It is one of those classic Matka moments: silence, nature and a touch of adventure shared between rock and water. Here, between the canyon’s towering walls, the world seems to pause for a moment — with only the gentle whisper of the Treska reminding you that everything around you is still in motion.
Matka Canyon’s steep limestone walls rise above the calm Treska River, where a single kayak rests by the wooden landing. In the photo, a man waits at the cave exit while his wife and child step back into the light after visiting the quiet, hidden chambers of Vrelo Cave. It’s a peaceful moment where nature, silence and a hint of adventure come together.

A family exploring Bryggen, the iconic Hanseatic quarter of Bergen, Norway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. This historic site preserves the memory of the Hanseatic League, which dominated trade in the North Atlantic between the 14th and 18th centuries, especially in dried fish and grain. The colorful wooden buildings with narrow, sloping facades, originally warehouses and offices for German merchants, were rebuilt after fires, maintaining the medieval layout and traditional construction techniques. The maze of alleys and walkways, essential for the transport of goods, now offer an authentic glimpse of medieval port life. Today, Bryggen is home to workshops, shops, museums, such as the Bryggens Museum, which displays archaeological finds, and art galleries, where history intersects with the liveliness of modern everyday life, providing an enriching experience for visitors of all ages.

My ordinary days at home series.
There isn't much extraordinary about my days at home except I get to do what I like; be around my family, work with folks I like very much like my brother Ricky; Sergei Scot and a couple of additional hands whose work ethics seems to be a thing of the past. In other words, I like what I do; I like my way of life! Today I was reading our local newspaper when I came upon something catching my attention; it reads: Wanted: Several hard working individuals willing to do work a minimum of 40 hours plus about 10 to 20 extra hours per week. Another local add reads: Wanted, hard working individuals not afraid to do hard physical labor, willing to put in at least 40 hours per week. I find myself thinking after reading many similar advertisements today; what has happened to work ethics? How did we get here; in a very small community where hard work was the norm? What sort of generation did we rise? Is this our future? It's made me think; prompting me to post a series which not long ago was considered ordinary.
People say I'm just a rough boy
I ain't no good for you girl
It's a dead end street,
Tryin' to love me yeah, I'll wreck your world
I can see why they're all talkin'
Lookin' back at my past
I've got a bad name, but a man can change
I'm livin' proof of that

“The transfer process will be finished end of July.”

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
We want to thank you for your interest in our work and thanks for visiting our work on Flickr, we do appreciate you and the contributions you make in furthering our interest in photography and on social media in general.
There are other aspects closely related to photography that we do embark on:

I've got a bad name, but a man can change
I'm livin' proof of that
