This was the second Christmas that I didn't spend with my family, and even though I enjoyed my time with my loved ones from England, I still couldn't stop thinking of how would it feel like to be home. This picture was taken in September when I didn't know how to focus the camera properly (didn't have my glasses with me).

Our house martins are back and getting ready to start a family

It's been awhile since I tried HDR....So I tried!

I continue to tell about people who moved to Israel this year because they do not agree with Putin's policy. #emigrationisraelproject

Zaira and Boris Voitsekhovsky moved to Haifa from Moscow in late autumn of 2022.

Zaira says: “I was born in Dagestan, lived in Makhachkala, and then in Derbent. There used to be a lot of Jews in this city, but in the early 90s, almost all of them sold their houses and left for Israel. Could I then imagine that, after many years, I myself would be here!

In Moscow, Zaira graduated from the British School of Design, as a diploma work she made a corporate identity for the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent. Then she worked as a book designer. Now she is a designer at Masha and the Bear, the same company that makes famous cartoons.

Boris is a Muscovite. He is a journalist, but also an author of children's books and an artist.

“We met Zaira about eight years ago at one of the publishing houses, got married, wandered between Moscow, Makhachkala, and the village of Kubachi, where my wife's family comes from. Moving to Israel was a frequent topic of family conversations, but a very abstract topic "But it would be nice to try." In February 2022 we realized: it's the time! And here we are. We make friends, we improve our life, we try to make plans and we miss our relatives who remained in Moscow.”

For now, Boris and Zaira are working remotely. What will they do next?

"Let's see. Boris has a dream to try himself here as an artist, and it seems that he has a chance to arrange an exhibition of his works in Haifa. Also, we would love to do drawing and other creative work with local children.”

Akira Kurosawa was one of the pioneers to display extensive use of movements and wide effects in his media work. He used smoke , wind, water, fire to make his stories; later regarded as one of the influence person in the history of film making.

for me I'm not sure which made influence me to do what I do, One can observe others work and make output better or different. here is the idea , now go and make it happen :-)

During a family walk , opportunity presented,

Making of this image involved reasonable wind, moving water due to wind and moving tree branches, lower shutter speed- 1/60th of sec can get the background effect. one missing element is reasonable lights.

Family time on Mother's day included "InflataBull," the inflatable pool-bull-riding game. #FamilyTime

We haven't had a get together in quite a while. Today seemed like a good day for kites.

My family from when my youngest was just a baby, to now when the eldest's partner has joined the family.

So when I saw that this week's Flickr Friday was #FamilyTime, I had the idea of doing a porch portrait, since none of my family lives in the same state as me. My dear friend Judy and her family have been all in close proximity since the pandemic and were willing to let me observe them in there natural habitat! They did not disappoint.

A very special day - a family wedding day

We've been married since 5 November 2020 and always celebrate the 5th of the month a little, simply because on this date we always remember how beautifully everything started and how well we're doing together. This time it wasn't supposed to be a fancy dinner, but a family day for the three of us. And so we set off on a trip into the countryside, completely relaxed, with lots of love in our luggage.

Liv, our little explorer, was curious and full of energy as always. As soon as we were lying together in the grass in the meadow and she climbed over us, it was clear: this was going to be a wonderful day. The sun painted patterns through the trees and we just let ourselves drift along - in our little family happiness.

It was particularly exciting for Liv when she met a cow for the first time in her life. After the experience with the horses in the paddock next to the cat cafe in Jormundgandr, this was something completely new and that was new. First hesitantly, then bravely, and finally with a smile that could hardly be bigger, she dared to come very close. We couldn't get enough of watching her reactions. This moment was so full of wonder and joy - a real centrepiece of our day.

After this little adventure, we continued on to a cute little café. As we sipped ice cream and Liv played peekaboo on Dad's shoulders, everything just felt right. Love, laughter, life.

Between lying on the grass, taking snapshots, watching animals, and enjoying ice cream at a sidewalk café, it was a perfect day. No glamour, no plan—just love, nature, and pure happiness. 🌿🍦
