Smile 1996 Fall/Winter collection

I didn't particularly like this Swatch until I learned its name. The "smile" was hiding there all along and it makes me happy to see it now.

This year’s autumn/winter collection derives its inspiration from the vintage ski resort Cortina d’Ampezzo, with Gagliardi offering the perfect mix of style, comfort and old school charm. I didn't actually wear this out yet but I was trying to figure out how to wear this lace dress, which is an Urban Renewal from years ago. (The tag says $58 but I know I got it on sale for about $20.)

Same as the previous picture. The action caught is both complicated and boring so I will spare you the words but let you revel in the strange end-result.

Olivia is the kitty sitting on the floor. She came from a lot of places -- she lived in a basement for a few months, at Animal Control for a few more and when she was on the euthanasia list, a nice local rescue pulled her and found her a foster...until they bailed. I fostered her as an emergency and she has some behavioral issues so she stayed. Now the inn is full.

She is my first (and hopefully last) long-hair cat and I still don't understand how to groom her.

Twelve Apostles 1994 Fall/Winter collection

I really wanted this watch because I loved the idea of the twelve apostles being depicted as faceless primary colors. I looked for it on eBay for a while, but every time one came up, they sold for WAY more than I wanted to pay. Eventually someone put this one up without knowing its name or how special it was.

They described it as "FAB - POP ART - Swatch Watch - Used - 1993" and I got it for only 20 bucks.

Golden Jelly Skin 1999 Fall/Winter Collection

I bought this Swatch in 2002 and I've worn it maybe five times. It came into my life right when I was changing from wearing gold jewelry all the time to wearing silver jewelry all the time, so it ended up in the back of the drawer.

That makes me sad for this watch.

I will never again try to host dinner on a weeknight, even if all I'm doing is making raviolis, brussels, baked tofu and some sauce. Way too long.
