As you enter further you go underwater and the sharks surround you :D

Im back!! i have had a horrible cold and just not felt like doing anything until today! So since it was cold out and the hubs was off work, we decided to whip up some Apple Cider Donuts!! Here is the recipe....they are soooo good but be warned....you may gain a few pounds if you make these cause you cant stop eating them!

APPLE CIDER DOUGHNUTS

Serving Size : 20 Preparation

Measurements Ingredients

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1 c Apple cider

1 c Sugar

1/4 c Solid vegetable shortening

2 lg Eggs

1/2 c Buttermilk

3 1/2 c All-purpose flour

2 ts Baking powder

1 t Baking soda

1/2 ts Cinnamon

1/2 ts Salt

1/4 ts Nutmeg

Vegetable oil or shortening

-for frying

-----GLAZE-----

2 c Confectioners' sugar

1/4 c Apple cider

1. Boil apple cider in small saucepan until it is

reduced to 1/4 cup, 8 to 10 minutes; cool.

2. Beat sugar with shortening until smooth. Add eggs

and mix well, then add buttermilk and reduced cider.

Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda,

cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in another bowl. Add to

liquid ingredients; mix just enough to combine.

3. Transfer dough to lightly floured board and pat to

1/2-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2- to 3-inch doughnut

cutter; reserve doughnut holes and reroll and cut

scraps.

4. Add enough oil or shortening to fill a deep pan 3

inches; heat to 375'F. Fry several doughnuts at a

time, turning once or twice, until browned and cooked

through, about 4 minutes. Remove to paper towels with

slotted spoon.

5. For glaze, mix confectiners' sugar and cider. Dip

doughnuts while warm; serve warm.

Instead of the glaze, I sprinkled them with a cinnamon & sugar mixture! The glaze is good but messy!

Enjoy!~

(I know I know...i couldnt resist putting a texture on the photo! i really need to stop!! lol)

My second favorite thing next to pumpkins in the Fall is Sunflowers :D

Day 10

One of the many pieces we got to see at Rogers Gardens Halloween goodies. This is a one of a kind spun cotton pumpkin man by Iva Wilcox. He is just amazing!!!

Such a cute set up, I love all the colors and we had a very nice day window shopping :D well maybe a few things in tow lol

So every morning we had these amazing rolls, of course we had to bring a few home just to get back into our old routine :D

It is a roll with cheese inside and bacon wrapped outside with a hint of cayenne pepper in the brown sugar - it's amazing!!!! Wish I could have them shipped here weekly lol. Or get recipe!!!

Hazel loves the Autumn months and will miss them but Christmas is Around the Corner. And she's super excited!!!

Sally had fun making her own pumpkin along with painting the bow and then the little pumpkin rocks were pretty fun to make too!!!

My little Pumpkin was so excited to see they made Oreos named after her - they are super yummy too (it's to bad they are smaller packages, just have to buy more) ;)

Jackie being kept away from the cake she was trying to get at :D

Fresh pumpkins from Cooper Farms in Fairfield, Texas, a cutie-patootie Kewpie Doll (not vintage) peeping from a Jack'o'lantern and a raven about to take wing make a fun Halloween display at my house.

My daughter Greta and I had fun taking shots of her dressed as a witch and trying to 'fly' through the air [via a trampoline] What fun!!!

My daughter Greta today dressed in her costume [an old vintage 1940's cocktail dress I found years ago and tailored it to make the costume with] and she hopped on the trampoline and because the clouds were amazing and we tried to create a image of her flying through the air......for the Halloween Season

Boy what a surprise to see Mickey, Minnie and Donald!! That was so much fun :D

The witching hour has ended and now it's time to relax and think about Turkeys :D

There were many "witchy" touches throughout the house--curl-toed shoes, pointy hats and stripey stockings. The big black tree is very detailed, so be sure to view this photo in the large size!

The "31 Wishes" Halloween Art Event & Tea was hosted by supremely talented Ann-Denise of Whim & Fancy, and was held in her home in Keller, TX. The one-day event featured sweets, treats, swaps & an awesome "book doll" crafting project. The attendees dressed in their finest Halloween- and Fall-colors, and spent the day making art and new friends.

It's been a while since I've done anything with my little witchy dolls but today I've had this picture just waiting :D

Carrot Cake loves the black velvet coffins. Perfect for Halloween!!!

OMG isn't this so Fall - I told hubs this is what I want our truck to look like LOL - he said aw No!!! Hehehehe one can dream right ;D

Love this room!!! Minnie wants a room like this!

To keep Jackie Lantern away from the cake it had to go into a skeleton pumpkin :D

The beach was kinda cool as the sand wasn't sand it was tiny rocks and I actually found some tiny beach glass - if I had my glasses on I'm sure I would have found more :D

Bailey was so excited to enjoy the fall with apple picking!

Day 11 - One more Disney day and we brought Heidi :D
