This is a picture of our pond right here on campus called St.Benedict. when you first look at a pond you might think its not that important but they really are a big part of our ecosystem. Ponds are important for biodiversity in the ecosystem. Ponds also are very helpful for aquatic species, ponds are also helpful for our wildlife. They provide drinking water during dry weather, a supply of insect and plant-based food, and shelter among the surrounding plants and trees.
