This may have been a rental at one time, even though it is in the middle of nowhere.
PS I drove by this again recently and noticed that there is a "2" just to the right of the door of this one, mostly obscured by brush. Also there was a very faint sign in front that said Adkins Enterprises. More evidence that it once was a rental.
Presenting an image of vdB 152, also known as CED 201, a reflection nebula located approximately 1400 light years away in the constellation Cephus. Dominating the center of the image is a dark, dusty pillar-like structure that reflects the light of nearby stars, giving it a faint, bluish glow.

Ambient temperature was low down to -15 degrees Celsius or 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind was mild. SQML reached 21.09 at the night. Seeing was awful as usual in this season, and guide error RMS was around 1.2" in total at the night.
The faint track marks on the salt (yep, it's alll salt, all of its 10.5 thousand square kilometers) were the only thing guiding our driver. And the fact that he drives there every week.

Tulips by A.E. Stallings
"The tulips make me want to paint,
Something about the way they drop
Their petals on the tabletop
And do not wilt so much as faint," -- excerpt from Poetry Magazine

NOTE TO EVERYONE:
I'm having no end of problems with Flickr. At least 3/4 of the times I come to visit/leave comments, there is no "comment" button -- as if I didn't have an account. So I'm visiting but seldom am allowed to leave comments. Very aggravating. After all these years, I may end up closing my account if this so called 'glitch' continues to prevent me from commenting. Is anyone else having this issue since Flickr has been taken over?

This striking little moth was found at a suburban porch light in Durham NC on 8 July 2021.
Faint-spotted Palthis - Palthis asopialis
For some reason these always remind me of a delta-wing fighter plane. Lots of schmutz on background cloned and blurred out for aesthetics, but the moth was not altered.
Got Apple White's fainting couch at a local store for $11. They had Raven Queens Vanity for $11 also.
IMPORTANT: MUST VIEW LARGE ON CALIBRATED MONITOR, LET YOUR EYES ADJUST TO THE FAINT RAYS, otherwise it is pointless at this size on white bg

A break in higher altitude clouds allows shafts of light to illuminate mountain flanks leading towards Lago Argentino. Lower altitude clouds act as diffusers and allow a light and a palette of blue hues to shine, Patagonian Light.
Possibly the violent winds that rage over the pampa favor layered and rapidly evolving cloud patterns as well as such light, complex in qualities.
I was lucky to witness this on the first day of my Patagonian adventure after nearly 20kms of treking and having landed just the day before. I wonder if this makes it sound like I suffered a lot to take this picture...and would that make the picture better. No, no, reality is that I felt fortunate and possibly rewarded...after carrying my 15kgs of equipment for 10 hours on uneven terrain, oh here I go again.
This was a happy shooter moment, lasted 5 shots. I came specifically for Patagonian autumn and was pleased I could incorporate some element of that, even a hint.
I have recently been away shooting for a project I have. Catching up with your streams in chronological order.
Please take the time to leave a comment, an impression, a thought, always appreciated.
Check out the set as it grows:

My favorite little island down river on the Wisconsin - this time with some morning mist. Of course I had to stop.
A nearly full moon made it a bit difficult to see but we had a faintly visible Aurora Borealis over Québec, Canada tonight. Trying a t-lapse too, so hopefully that caught something ahead of the clouds from the next snow storm in New England for 2 Feb 15.
