finally got a new film scanner. this was taken at shawangunk hiking trail in last winter. we failed to proceed beyond this point because of icy condition and poor equipment.
I've seen pics where the background is full of tiny star shaped bokeh. So I cut a star shape in a piece of red paper. This is what I got. Not what I intended. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
That's the view out my bedroom window by the way.

I just noticed that this picture some how slipped by and didn't get uploaded with the rest of my photo's from Tikal and Guatemala. Wonder how that happened. Wonder if any other amazing photo's slipped by.
Anyways, me and Jaime decided to brave it and explore the tunnel that was being excavated beneath Templo Jaguar. As we approached the end of the tunnel he said, "Do you see any thing."
Right then I noticed this GIANT ARACHNID. The thing was literally larger then my fist and I said... "Stop, come back come back come back and he froze. Right there with this thing 6" from his fricken face."
Thing gave me the eeby jeebies. I made a couple of failed attempts to get a sho of it then bolted out of the tunnel.
THen I realized. The spiders eff'n scary, and it is the biggest meanest bug I have ever seen, ever. BUuuuuut, I know where it is.... and .... its not going anywhere, or jumping or leaping or hissing at me... so I'm going to go get a shot of it. So I faced my fears, went back in and took 15 or so shots until I got this one.
