Lately my walls have been laughing at me.

Feeding nothing but negative thoughts, I have no ideas anymore.

I'm starting fresh.

have a good night flickr.

It's bad.

I wanted to do something like the Black Ops MP5, but I failed.

Ok, you can't really see much of the band, but the colours are lovely.

The evening of the 5th day of our Rhine Cruise saw us leaving Koblenz and heading downriver towards Cologne, and it was time for some entertainment put on by the staff. What a fun evening!

This gal was supposed to be a circus tightrope walker, and got several gentlemen from the audience, including my husband, to hold the rope tight. After a number of failed attemps, since the fellows couldn't hold the rope tight when she tried to get on, she hauled out her wet laundry and proceeded to hang it on the tightrope turned clothesline! (12-10-11-4680)

Just a failed shot that I pushed out trying to submit to a camera club contest. It looks great save for the scarf on the left. Likely a casualty of over processing.

The failed/flowered swedes and winter radishes have been dug out but so far I haven't been able to convince myself to deprive the bees of their beloved Brussels sprout blooms - and it's very nice to have the bees all busying around there while I'm gardening. I've put about 20 litres of municipal compost on the plot, and added some wood ash in places.

Top row, LR: radish 'French Breakfast 2', Asturian tree cabbage, last year's Brussels sprouts, empty, sunflower, sunflower.

Middle row, L-R: empty, Asturian tree cabbage, empty, empty, sunflower + climbing French beans 'Cherokee Trail of Tears' (hoping the beans can use the sunflower as a cane - anyone know if that'll work?), empty.

Bottom row, L-R: nasturtium, dwarf runner beans 'Hestia', pea shoots, dwarf French beans 'Cantare', empty, beetroot 'Touchstone Gold'.

Dush after falling off his bike. Camden, London.

A este pequeño hooligan no le gustó que inmortalizara su caída, llegó a encararse y todo xDDD.

Da hat jemand wohl gerne mehr Gewicht dabei...

Randomly I realized I didn't have a screenshot of this guy. Fail Whale - what you know all the tech folk/twitter addicts will be talking about whenever he appears. Also it's just fun to say Fail Whale.

...And of course seconds after I get the Fail Whale Twitter is back. So there will be no excited mass panic or blogging or ranting. Darn.

...Meanwhile do you notice how happy the whale is? And are those birds taking him back to the ocean or taking him away...elsewhere? You'd think a whale would look more nervous if he was actually leaving the water. Also those are some pretty strong birds - there are only 8 of them. This makes me wonder if some fellow nerd has already done the math to figure how much weight each of those birds is carrying. (Yes, I googled - I'm still looking.)

Meanwhile this is a hysterical fail whale alternative image:

Also the blog post:

Fail Whale's Birds Must Work Out A Lot - Or They're Really Pterosaurs

where I ponder whether 8 pterosaurs could carry a whale.

Well, fail tables I guess is more like it. Forgot the beers, got bounced on every attempt, and my camera battery wasn't charged (DOH!) so only got these two blurry shots (not even from the right angle...these were actually goin downhill more than flat) before it died altogether. Fail. The night was saved by a few Young's Winter Warmers and Affligem Holidays ales at Doyle's after.

Grow the Depth of Dreams

Parenting fail. Tornado sirens going off. This parent drops their kid off to go run to the bus stop. Really? Just drive your kid to school fool- you are 1/2 way there & did I mention tornado sirens?!?!?

I found a recipe for perogies in a Russian cook book, and it made no sense to my intuition how it would work out... but I went with it, and I admittedly don't like it. These have ground beef filling (why? if you're making perogies, would you go with something so plain...) This dough baked to be like harder bread, and the ground beef on the inside dried up pretty bad. It was difficult to eat these without a drink on the side.

See, here's the thing. If you are going to sent recruitment letters to HS/College kids, expounding on the ways that you, that National Guard, can further their education, the inability to construct a letter that has no grammatical errors in it is a huge detractor to your cause. The highlighted piece is a sentence fragment, not a complete sentence. Using "because" to begin a sentence can be done correctly, and it is done so later in the letter. But here, it is as my teenagers would say, an "epic fail."

My kids have been raised, occasionally to their chagrin, by an English teacher. This child, in particular, tweaks when people who are "supposed to be smarter" or "supposed to be professional" demonstrate a clear lack of comprehension of basic grammatical mechanics. She is planning to write them a letter to explain how she would never be able to trust an organization to "further her education" when they cannot even write a well constructed letter to her.

Arrogant though it seems? She's right. I cannot wait to read the letter she writes.

Damnit, almost got the whole Fails..

TJ Slice promotes nutrition but apparently not safety as his shattered skull and exposed brain can attest.

it is pants when things don't work :(

More about my failings, including the first even worse attempt on the blog

So full of FAIL, his other 2 friends had to look away.

Cigarettes and Oxygen. Nice work.
