Minolta x700, Canon AE-1, failed development. When you learn, you learn! Sharp magenta coloration due to low temperature in development, causing emulsion to not fully degrade. Highlights and shadows have extreme editing to save any detail left on film. It was a beautiful day on the dunes, nonetheless.

si porque, si supiera photoshopear habría cambiado el fondo que es 'muy' fail.

Leo thinks my fabric choice is inexplicable. I think that's a big nerd fail on his part.

A failed attempt at the TBW "colors" challenge. I was too slow on the shutter, and Nate just can't leave a stacked tower of cups alone. 1/10/08 Day 10

Tiny TARDIS.

Did the Doctor become a giant, or was someone messing with the TARDIS?

I was sure this was not gated but on arrival we found it was, also the water was deeper than expected + the gate was locked and we had no sockets or shifter, but it looked like a nice old brick arch non the less.;-))

I need some chest waders asap!

For the 4rd time I have had an opportunity at AK at night and failed to deliver the shot I wanted.

1st try - First DSLR, no skills, everything way underexposed

2nd try - Got home to find water droplets from the waterfall were all over the lens

3rd try - Pixelmania last year and it was so windy all the real trees were a total blur

4rth try - Tripod failure- Since I'm all into video now I just brought a fluid video head and not my ball head- well apparently those don't do verticle shots all that good for some (obvious) reason. Duh. This was a rigged up effort trying to get the angle I needed with a couple short tripod legs.

I overexposed this picture thus I decided to torture it by burning it, putting in the oven en purring all kinds of emulsion on it. It's an interesting failure.

Shot my my new double exposure mod on one of my Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slims. My biggest problem with the mod is my default behaviour when pulling the camera out of my bag is to wind it on (When what I should do is re-cock the shutter using the new hole at the front of the camera). So lots of times I failed to shoot a double exposure at all, just these singles...

Australian Landing Craft from the failed landing at Gallipoli, World War I. Recovered post-war, still on the beach it landed.

I just give it a try tho. Will do it again =)))

Taken in the St. Andrew subway station, this sign has read "test" unchanged for at least a year to my personal knowledge (I've taken this photo twice before, with two different cameras) and in all likelihood far, far longer than that. These signs are in almost every station, and exactly none of them work. But hey, signage that stays broken and repairs that are left undone for months or years are a completely typical part of the TTC experience.

A simple twitter conversation this morning:

@tsand - "Rumor: This winter @ScottMonty will replace my @JEEP with a #FordExplorer to see if it can pull the ice shanty onto a snow-covered lake."

@ScottMonty - "@tsand Sounds like a challenge. :)"

This is what I find in the parking lot after work. It's like my Jeep has Jedi powers, could sense a disturbance and retaliated.

Perhaps the city could hang a few more wires in front of this traffic signal

Irony? The FAIL Blog's next/previous navigation is terrible. There isn't a "Next" link on Page 2, but there is a "Prev" link? And I love how close together those page numbers are...

A highly acclaimed 'craft' beer Imperial IPA with mango and orange added. Obtained within a month of being can-packaged; stored refrigerated for a few days; poured from a can slowly into a glass.

This is not 'craft': at best, it is gross (literal) insouciance; at worst it is (rank) incompetence at the consumer's expense. Online beer-raters used the term "flavor enhancing floaties" to praise a similarly ugly 'egg-drop-soup' beer. It's unfortunately appropriate here.

Another dumb sign on the marquee of the Porta Pizzeria in Montclair New Jersey, the marquee leftover from the failed supper club that occupied this space for less than two years before COVID hit. The marquee- once used to advertise performers at the supper club and at the comedy club that existed here before then - is now used to send messages lie this one in a brazen attempt at cuteness, an example of cutesy-pie signs examined by Paul Fussell for stupidity in his 1991 polemic BAD or, The Dumbing of America.

Another thing - this is New Jersey. The state bird is a mosquito, the state flower is a swamp grass, the state tree is dead, the state gem is asphalt, the state motto is an expletive, and the state song is “Everything's Gonna Be Alright (Ghetto Bastard)." We don't have any patience for this cutesy-pie nonsense, sucka, and in Essex County, which includes Newark as well as Montclair, that goes double.

Tkane with my flip phone. Yo - you got a problem with that? 'Cause if you got a problem with that, we can settle it right heah, you mutha! ;-)
