This is the card I created for the Advent swap in the Swap me and Image group. Day 10.
I used copic markers to draw the faerie (my own design), scrapbook paper for the background, ribbon, red stickers for the holly and a snowflake charm.
Trying to get back into portraiture, I did a photo shoot for a friend and had some luck shooting this young lady.
Finally got some pics of my Amethyst Faerie, I just finished her hair a couple of hours ago. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton, and real amethyst beads for her ball-joints. Now she just needs a dress!
Original polymer sculpture, silicone mold made from it, 100% recycled paper casting, then acrylic painted.
Sakura is the faerie of cherry blossoms. She is approximately 4.5 inches tall, made of organic cotton. She would be great as a dollhouse doll, or a doll for a larger doll. For more information, please visit my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/listing/589974343/sakura-the-cherry-blossom-...
finally spun the faerie kit from pumpkinhaus. the kit contained a textured batt, turquoise roving, locks, some charms, novelty snippets, green tulle, fabric, and feathers. i also used the cellophane it was wrapped in along with the ribbon.
didn't use the wooden charm because i used the wrong wheel...it wouldn't fit through the orifice. could sew it in i suppose.
Holly Faerie is a OOAK beaded art doll. She is bal-jointed and has 13 points of articulation. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread & fiber fill, ahimsa silk thread, and Swarovski pearls. She is about 9 inches tall. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, I posted a little about that on my website, if anyone wants to read it, here is the link: faeriedustdolls.wordpress.com/2015/08/17/holly-faerie/
Hand painted silk crepe de chine fabric for a faerie dress.
