Dunluce Castle is a now-ruined medieval castle in Northern Ireland. It is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in County Antrim (between Portballintrae and Portrush), and is accessible via a bridge connecting it to the mainland. The castle is surrounded by extremely steep drops on either side, which may have been an important factor to the early Christians and Vikings who were drawn to this place where an early Irish fort once stood.
This friendly young guy gives us a demonstration on one of the flutes he made.

780 Third Avenue NYC - 1983 - Skidmore, Owings & Merrill
570-foot, 49-story postmodern office building completed in 1983. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building's exterior is patterned with polished red Balmoral granite panels from Finland alternating with grey-glass window openings in a diagonal pattern, covering the concrete panels which form the structural truss tube. The diagonal bracing can be seen on the building's facades in crisscross patterns created by omitting openings for windows. Unlike other X-type designs such as used on the exterior of the John Hancock Center in Chicago, also designed by S.O.M., the Third Avenue tower's bracing is within the walls. It rises as a sheer slab on all four sides in a slender rectangle form. The building is similar in design and height to Onterie Center in Chicago, completed in the same year.

These ships are the shrimp kotters WR 12 and WR 212 in the fishing harbor of Den Oever. The WR 12 is in the dock for maintenance. See the painter. The WR 212 just arrived in the harbor. See both fisherman cleaning the nets so that the nets can dry. Both ships were built in 2017 and delivered in 2018. Den Oever, 2019.

I think this one wins the cute factor. Moorhen feeding it's chick. There were in fact 4 chicks around but I only caught this one being fed.
Turns out hummers love these flowers, in spite of the major pollen factor. They make complete circles around each one.
When you see these little beauties pop up through the ground, you know that spring is not far off. :-)

I love Ranunculus, densely layered, and this bloom opened beautifully, not always evident, their stems are extremely delicate and do tend to just collapse before the bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...

This tiny vintage brass bear stands just over 3.175 cm (1.25 inches). Its back opens up and contains 0.04oz of Max Factor's Hypnotique creme perfume. The creme perfume hasn't been touched but still smells of the perfume.
Max Factor launched Hypnotique perfume back in 1958. I remember my Aunt Molly had a bottle of it on her dresser.
For years I’ve wanted to capture the Aurora over Mt. Rainier, with a reflection while surrounded by snow. There’s a narrow window every year where this would even be possible. Factor in constant fall cloudiness and that window drops to just a few days per year.
An amazing amount of luck came together for this shot; a very rare completely clear fall night, a late arriving CME, a powerful CME, fresh snow, and just a sliver of water left to provide a small reflection. This may truly be a once in a lifetime shot.
