Work inspired by the ever growing number of CCTV cameras, our fear of being photographed, facial recognition software and the introduction to "Person of Intrest" television show - You are being watched. The government has a secret system: a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know because I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people, people like you. Crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn't act, so I decided I would. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us, but victim or perpetrator, if your number's up...we'll find you.

I wanted to try out the new face recognition feature in iPhoto '09 but it has to go through the entire library first and analyze all the faces it can find. And it takes a ridiculous amount of time!

So I decided to do something different, something edgy and new compared to what I normally produce for this, which is for now my last ever project for University.
CCTV is a controversial for most people while many say if you are doing nothing wrong what do you have to hide, whilst others just do not want to be watched and judged by the camera. But the camera can not judge only view, it is the cameras viewer that will pick up on a stereotype or a "shady looking" character. Did you judge these people? Did you wonder why the camera was following them? Or are these just one of the 70ish time a day we are caught on camera?
