For the Macro Monday theme "Lids" (November 18th 2019)
Two lids from small glass face cream jars. One silver coloured and one gold coloured.
The lids are just under 2" across and 1" high - one lid set against a ruler is in the first comment field.

for the Macro Mondays challenge "Ready for the day" (May 21st 2018)
.... well I thought I was 'ready' and posted my shot only to have it rejected!
What I took as suggestions (…take a picture of a product or tool you use to look and smell fresh, fruity and beautiful again for the new day) turned out to be the only interpertation of "Ready for the day" that was acceptable.
I have taken a shot of a jar of face cream that meets all your requirements so that it cannot be rejected on technical grounds. But I want the group pool to know my feelings. By rejecting my original image you have deprived me of a voice. I want to be heard!
Hans Holt commented to me "it should have been clear that this is all about grooming aids and products..." NO it is not at all clear. And there was no chance to ask, as the topic was locked! It is not how I 'get ready for the day' .... but every day (weekend, holiday or week day) I do first of all have my herb tea! See the previous shot for the original rejected image.
Like most people who post regularly to MM I take time to think and plan my wekly entry to the group. I take several shots, and often of several possible ideas. That is time and effort that I expend, in good faith.
Sorry MM police patrol .... I am NOT ready for this day!

For the "Looking close... on Friday!" challenge "Toiletries"
I wasn't sure what 'Toiletries' covered, so I looked up definitions online and found two that helped me choose. "Toiletries are products such as soap and toothpaste that you use when cleaning or taking care of your body. American English" and "Articles used in washing and taking care of one's body, such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste." So I gathered some round the wash-basin!

This is my photo for the 52 in 2019 Challenge - #45 - Sensitive.
I have very sensitive skin and this is my new facial products that I have decided to try.
Anti-wrinkle, anti-aging, enhanced microbes to fight off pollution, skin as soft as a baby's bottom ... I believe it all! I need it all! Forever the optimist :-)))

I put on my face the beeswax-based anti-age cream in the little jar which was sold to me by a girl from Crete on a market stall in Lausanne.
In the background is a bacchanalian mask which I could put on my face if I wanted to but I don't (souvenir of the winegrowers festival in Vevey)
In the foreground, a number of washable soft cotton tawashi sponges I have been making to replace cotton wool disks for removing makeup from my face and eyes.
The two squeezed lemon halves are destined for the biodegradable trash but I could find them in there if I came back later today.

Eye make up remover: I use this remover everyday. It consists of two parts - remover and oil. It's perfectly gentle to my skin/eye area and it removes mascara or eyeshadow perfectly!
Face cleanse: I use this to remove any dirt from my skin. When I used to use foundation I removed it with this, but I don't use foundation anymore so I just use this to clean my face deeply.
Freshen: I use this after the face cleanse to finish the cleaning of my face.
Pore-purifying serum: I don't use this everyday because it dries my skin a lot 'cause this is for acne skin. I don't have much acne but when I see my face got worse I use this a few days in a row and I can see the results.
Spot solution: I use this when I want to get rid of the acne as soon as possible. I don't use this everyday.
Eye gel: I use this for my eye area. A lot of people forget about this area but it's there and we should take care of it. We don't want any wrinkles at young age, do we!

Hydrate: Face cream I use everyday. I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks and this face cream is just perfect! It doesn't make my T-zone more oily but it keeps it perfectly "in spot" and my cheeks are not dry anymore but amazingly smooth.
Lash & Bow: This serum helps to grow your lashes and eyebrows. I've just started using it but my mum claims it's helped her. We'll see…
Satin lips: I mix a little bit of this scrub with the water and gently apply it on my lips and massage it in. Then rinse with water. My lips are then as smooth as baby's skin.
Age-fighting eye cream: I don't want any wrinkles and the dermatologist said I can use this even if I'm young and don't have any wrinkles.
Mask: I use this max. twice a week. It leaves my skin beautifully soft.
