– A Mazda Miata MX-5 is displayed during the Hard Park Palmsapalooza car show Aug. 8 aboard Camp Hansen as part of the Camp Hansen Friendship Day. Hard Park Palmsapalooza is a Marine Corps Community Services event in which service members, families and Okinawa residents could spectate a car show and participate in tricycle races. It was held in conjunction with the Camp Hansen Friendship Day, which is an open gate event that allowed Okinawa residents to come aboard base and use different entertainment facilities. There were 1,000 Okinawa residents aboard during Friendship Day according to James Hammonds, the Camp Guard Officer on Camp Hansen.

If we only could have gotten paid, even a dollar, for every photo we posed for we would be filthy rich.

The kind person who took this photo on the first day came back on the second day with several printed versions. Some of the photos were for us and some where for him (after we signed it)

It was awesome.
