Salem, Mass.
Friendship at Salem Maritime National Historic Site Friendship, a reconstruction of a 171-foot three-masted Salem East Indiaman built in 1797, arrived on September 1, 1998 at the National Park Service's Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Salem, after two years of construction at Scarano Boat Building in Albany, NY. She is the largest wooden, Coast Guard certified, sailing vessel to be built in New England in more than a century.
Didi and Dominic
Didi was rescued from a life of maltreatment, where these three values did not exist for her. She's still wary of people, but with Dominic she now knows what friendship, respect and trust are.

This is a symbol of my childhood friendship with my best friend, she has the other half of the heart!!
I chose this small piece of wood, because I remember how important it was for me to take it with me every day. I felt obligated to keep it close to me as a symbol to our friendship.. those days are gone of course, I keep it in my jewellery box now... but every time I see it I feel warmth and love! Only me and my friend know how important it is to us..
The Friendship Gate is a many-colored arch ornamented with fire-breathing dragons and Oriental lettering that was a joint project between Philadelphia and her Chinese sister city Tianjin. Chinese artisans completed the Friendship Gate in 1984 with materials brought from Tianjin.
I'm sending luck and wishes

The Old Gunpowder works on the Afon Mellte River, Brecon Beacons
An engineering marvel in its heyday!
Nestled in the heart of this valley, 100 years ago, was a thriving Gunpowder works. It was the first explosives factory in Wales and well placed to become a major player in the lucrative, and nationally important, blasting powder market for mines and quarries.
Today, the factory buildings are crumbling and the leats and tramways have all but vanished. The stories of the men and women that spent their working day here, the friendships forged and families sustained will soon will be lost from living memory.

Friendship Gardens is renowned for its water features including several artificial waterfalls, stepping-stone paths, a duck pond, and a footbridge painted red and black (culturally important colours in New Westminster as they were worn by the Royal Engineers.
The land currently occupied by the park was initially designated by Colonel Moody as the location for British Columbia's government buildings. Unfortunately for Moody and the rest of the city, the unification of the Mainland Colony of British Columbia and the Colony of Vancouver Island in 1866 led to Victoria being awarded the capital, leaving the lands of Tipperary Park with no inherent purpose. The land became known as Tipperary Park due to the presence of worker camps, which were formed by street construction workers and their families in 1889. The Daily Columbian, a New Westminster newspaper, published a story about the camps, comparing them to worker and squatter settlements in County Tipperary, Ireland, causing residents of the city to call the area "New Tipperary." The land was eventually used by the New Westminster Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club who set up a sporting facility in 1901 with permission from the provincial government. In 1908, the land which was still under provincial jurisdiction, was transferred to the City of New Westminster, and was subsequently established as a municipal park.

Friday morning at work I wasn't having a good time of it with far to much to do in a short period of time. So after a little rant I decided to drop Janet a line a line to see if she fancied a visit.
As luck would have it she said yes.
A few moments later Janet mailed me hinting at what she was going to wear! well I could let her down and thus I joined her by wearing my super girly retro dress.
Its great having such a close good friendship .
