Happy Macro Monday!

This week’s theme: Magnetic

My refrigerator is completely covered with magnets.😅

Yesterday I was too busy to place this photos for the Happy Caturday group. But I hope these pictures of Vaska will make many cat lovers to smile.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

All magnets from the refrigerator Vas'ka dragged up on the top of the fridge. This one is the last and to strong for his paw.

We are staying at home because of coronavirus pandemie, and we have many interesting things to do like for example watching herself on the fridge :)

On a brightly painted piece of wood a small button magnet is mounted allowing it to be a rather pretty fridge adornment.

An absolutely fridged day in Carburn Park and this doofus is out walking in it. As you can likely tell, the temperature is about -2,000 or at least it felt that way. Still, need to get out for a walk; fortunately I was prepared for it. Yikes, it is cold here.

Thank you all for visits, faves and comments - greatly appreciated!

For the Macro Mondays challenge "Fake". The pumpkin might be fake but the recipe for pumpkin pie is authentic. It's from the ancient Betty Crocker cook book I brought with me to Germany as a young bride.

This little 'trinket' collected from our trip to Cambodia now sits proudly on our fridge.

I spent most of the day gardening, so come tea time, it was a case of open of the fridge and see what there was.

Our dinner sort of grew, as I kept adding bits to the plates :))) His is on the left and mine on the right.

Here is my last project I did for school.

The story is about our reactions and feelings in front of our fridges...

Do you find yourself endlessly snacking on everything in sight before (or after) bedtime?

You may think it’s a lack of self-control, but the truth is there are deep-rooted hormonal responses that will win every time against your willpower.

If you aren’t eating enough throughout the day, your hormones will respond thinking your body is being starved, and they will drive you to eat at night. Even if you eat a well balanced, healthy dinner the hormonal response will still urge you to go looking for more because it thinks the food is scarce and you are starving. You may be intentionally not eating enough to promote weight loss, or you may be just focused on other things and forgetting to eat.

Experts say - If weight loss is the goal, you want to cut calories from each meal, not skip meals altogether.

I suspect all these experts are thin -- and talk "rubbish" having battled with weight for about 50 years I can tell you there is no substitute for just eating less - usually a lot less.

No matter what miracle diet or eating technique there is only one way to lose weight : take in fewer calories than you use.

Now from your bodies point of view you are starving - and if you continue to take in less than you use - you will eventually die; that's why your body and mind on a subconscious level prompts you to eat.

The hardest part of the battle is after you have lost weight - you now have to find a balance to take in only the calories you have used up - and that's difficult to do.

Photograph taken using just the light in the fridge.

I suppose you could call it "cool lighting".
