Happy Fence Friday everyone ;-)

Staying below 1.5 degrees is the only chance we have of avoiding these tipping points and stabilising our world again.

Good luck for COP 26 beginning in Glasgow tomorrow
and that it will have better results than just more 'hot air'
and the further formulation of noble goals that no one is seriously trying to achieve ...
Earth needs tangible actions at all levels of human existence!
A shot from La Grange, Texas. So different from the hill country where I live. But, still pretty in its own way.
I signed up with Airbnb and I have my first people coming on Friday. However, I have discovered a down side to Airbnb. They report all your income to the IRS..;( I didn't see that coming. So, I'm still listing room mate wanted in the newspapers..:).

My shift doesn't start until 3 today, so I went out this morning to get some morning shots. I was so upset with myself for remembering everything except my tripod..:( Sometimes I hate my life. Anyway, I turned up the ISO and got a few good shots. Sand Castle shot coming soon..:)

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colours gleaming in the sun.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on this photo, it's very much appreciated!
Stay safe my friends!
Looking Close... on Friday: Tip
On tonight's episode of "Cats Are Perfect": the ear! This delicate, soft little ear possesses 32 muscles (we poor humans only have 6) and allows cats to keep their balance, move their ears 180°, and of course hear 5 times better than us. It never ceases to amaze me how these little killing machines with superfeline powers can be so graceful, elegant, beautiful... and so, so cute! (Incidentally, the cuteness is... not incidental. They share baby-like features with lots of baby animals, which makes us subconsciously attracted to them. But these devious little monsters have also managed to tune their purring to a human baby's cries, triggering our instinct to protect, help... and smooch. We are being totally manipulated. And we love that.)
I couldn't decide if I should save this one for "Bench Monday" or use it "Fence Friday". This is from the Gruene historical district. Such a pretty area. Looking at this image makes me want to go back and visit it
Happy Friday!
Please write in the comment, what is your, what kind of facial expression I have, and what am I thinking of on this Beautiful Day?
Enjoy your Weekend and Stay Safe!!!

This is the side view and grounds of the new library. Still no benches..:) I drove to Austin this morning early, in the dark, to get some night and early morning shots. My first shot was of the moon. I really suck at it. I've tried so many times to get a great shot of he moon and I fail every time. Anyway, I made a stupid mistake, I had the ISO set at 2000 for the moon shot and I changed all the other settings but I forgot to change the ISO settings. So, I have a lot of noise in the rest of my shots. I didn't catch my mistake until just about my last shoe..:(

This is The Capital Grill on 4th street in Austin. It use to be the Spaghetti Warehouse. Guess people got tired of Spaghetti..;:) I'll tell you one thing for sure. Steak and Lobster cost a lot more than Spaghetti..;) Like, $53. Yikes! I didn't go in. I was just downtown killing some time. I have to back to Austin Friday for an eye exam. I hate those because it's almost impossible to drive for about an hour.
Good Friday morning everyone, and hoping that a great and safe weekend will be had by all.
I thought that the last Yellow Crown would be the last, but thought this was the most interesting position of the series, although not the best image. Just the position of this guy trying to maneuver a way to get out of the place he was in, I thought it was very clever, and from keeping his wings from hitting the trees, only my opinion.
Thanks to all for everything.
One of those colours I struggle with on a sunny day. This was a SUPER windy day and the Poppy's were flying around like crazy.
Shot for Fence Friday.
Working off phone - hopefully back tomorrow sometime.

And remember, there will be no vaccine against the loss of biodiversity and global warming...
we all will have to change a lot in the way we live and think!
And when I see the global behaviour during the current pandemic, it doesn't make me very confident ...

There was more light in this area than I realized. I'm often surprised at how different it looks when I get it in Lightroom.. I still lite the shot, it just looks different. Day light was trying to creep up on me as well.
