Each season, my wife puts up her Reebok Freestyle collection to match the seaon. This is3/4 of Autumns collection. Each Season she has at least 110 pair, and every single pair is different, by color. All pairs are size 11, 11.5, or 12. Some leather, some canvas, some are wide sized, but all original Reebok! We just spent the last couple hours boxing up the summer seaon collection! I like the Seattle Seahawks football ones she has made every so often! I love my wife!
Never underestimate a tripod and Bulb setting. Had to sacrifice the tripod by bringing along the kids, wife, chairs and cooler full of shit we never opened!
EXPLORE #164
This was taken at the eXtreme sports event at Marina Crescent. I went particularly for the Motocross Freestyle event, The lighting was really bad since the event started as the sun went down and with clouds covering the sun that only made it even worse. I had to use high ISO speeds to get decent freezing action and of course that came at a cost in the form of noise.
I like this shot because he's not touching the bike at all. This is a french professional Freestyle Rider.

I was looking through my hard drive, and came across The Bolddog Lings Freestyle Team, which I had forgotten about, and I was very pleased with the way some of them had turned out.
I was dragged by some friends to a sports event that was sponsored by the insecticide company that makes Mountain Dew.
I totally mesmerized by the free style motocross event. I'm sure there is a cooler name for it but I'm allowed not to know it...:)
I've never shot at night so These aren't perfect but I think they capture some of the excitement.

There are 7 judges in the Aerials competition. 5 of the judges will judge the Air portion of the jump, which includes: the Takeoff, the Height of the jump and the Length of the jump. They also judge the form of the jump, which includes: the execution of the jump, the exactness of the jump and body position of the skier. The Air portion of the judging is worth 20 percent and the form portion is worth 50 percent.
2 judges will judge the landing of the skiers. This portion of the judging is worth 30 percent. Skiers will lose points if they should fall when they land, if they lose their balance or if they touch the ground with their back.
The two scores are added together and then are multiplied by difficulty factor and this gives the skier their final score.
The skiers must give to the judges, prior to their jumps, a list of the straight jumps, the positions and rotations they will perform along with a list of somersaults and jumps they will perform during their acrobatic jump. They also must tell the judges what kicker they plan on using.
7 days of shooting. Freestyle Friday. Glass. Increased saturation and contrast, otherwise straight out of the camera.

I chose to interpret Freestyle as "anything goes". Which for me means shooting from the hip. I love shooting from the hip. I get lots of crap, but I also get some gems that I'd never be able to get if I stopped, positioned myself and then tried to get the shot.
With dogs, so much of what they do is dependant on what you are doing - every action, creates a reaction. So if I had laid down on the ground to get this shot, Coulee would have definitely moved. Leaning down with my camera and just shooting blind was the only way to get it.
