Sculptures by artist Frank Stella. Starting with computer models using 3-D printing, the models are refined by the artist in his studio and then sent to the Netherlands and Belgium where pieces are fabricated using shipbuilding technology. Those pieces are sent back to Stella's studio in the Hudson Valley where they are refined and painted with automotive paint.
Some of the pieces are created using fiberglass covered high density foam while others are made from aluminum.
The pieces were brought into the city on double wide flatbed trucks.
