I decided to do a little giveaway of some of my hoarded Mendocino. At the Palm Springs weekend, Heather Ross shared a little about her upcoming book, in which there will be a disk with some of her artwork (dandelions!) that can be used in lots of ways--making stationery, uploaded to Spoonflower, etc. She wanted people to have her artwork for free--how cool is that? So, in that spirit, it seems right to offer some of this up.

Many of my Flickr friends have been incredibly generous with me, Jenny Welding Caps, Amy Badskirt, It's Dar, and Melissa, among others. So, here's to paying it forward :-)

I don't have a blog, so just leave a comment on this picture if you'd like to enter, and I'll randomly select a winner Monday night. International is fine. Tell your friends!

This is another diorama that I have assembled all the time. I store it in my dollhouse cabinet. The walls and floor are foam core.

I can't believe how effective this is by using only 1 FQ of feature fabric

FQ Barbie is wearing a beautiful vintage coral Belle Dress which was a gift from Vintage Betty. It was so special to meet Betty, her husband & little puppy Phoebe at the convention. Thank you so much. I really love this dress. The fab straw purse was a table gift made by talented Ingrid. FQ is wearing a Monique wig.

The FQ-100A is a sixth-gen Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) designed to work in concert with manned sixth-gen fighters and bombers.

As the first aircraft given a FQ designator, indicating that it’s primary role is air-to-air combat, the Air Force opted to skip the next available designation number, and make the FQ-100A the first of the Century Series of autonomous combat platforms.

To maintain force affordability, the FQ-100A is meant to be the high portion of a high-low fighter mix that includes a much larger number of the more affordable MQ-75. The FQ-100A is the first member of a family of aircraft, also including the RQ-100B (reconnaissance) and MQ-100C (multi-role).

About this model:

This build is clearly a modification of the sixth-gen fighter designed by Red Spacecat so I certainly want to give credit where credit is due. I imagine several of these aircraft flying in formation with the manned variant.

With the exhaust on the air-to-air missile, I tried to simulate the diamond shock pattern that can appear in rocket plumes, but I’m not sure how successful I’ve been in doing so.
