I was lucky enough to see this red fox vixen and three kits near my sister's cabin in the mountains. The three little ones were playing until she barked them back to the den.
I don't often see foxes, as my bike D-lock tends to clank warnings, or in the case of hungry birds I know, meals on wheels! This guy was actually on a slight grass verge on a cycle path bend.
At the UniK event (Aug 7th till Aug 28th) the new Lanza will be the exclusive.

This cute sleepy fox was all curled up and picked up his head to look right into the light. How very nice!

In a colour photo this butterfly would have a bright foxy red ground-colour 😉 HMBT
Once among the most common butterflies in Europe and temperate Asia, this butterfly is in very rapid decline, at least in Western Europe. This decline cannot be explained by the decline of its host plant, because the nettle is widespread and even enjoys the general eutrophication of the environment. The chrysalis is sometimes eaten by wasps, but these are also in strong regression. The species had more success in reproduction in summers that were cool and wet at the beginning of summer than when it was hot and dry. This butterfly may then be sensitive to global warming. Eastern Fox Squirrels are the largest of the squirrels found in Michigan. When we moved to our house (many years ago) we saw only Fox Squirrels in this area. Now, they have been replaced by smaller gray (and black) squirrels that seem to be faster and more acrobatic than fox squirrels.
Fox Squirrels are still seen in more forested areas, like this one at Lake St Clair Metropark, Michigan.
