Refuge faunique Marguerite-d'Youville

I was lucky enough to see this red fox vixen and three kits near my sister's cabin in the mountains. The three little ones were playing until she barked them back to the den.

Nature is all about balance

Fox - Cleethorpes.

Mom and her kit see something over yonder probably waiting for the Dad to show up.

12 years ago we took an amazing helicopter ride over one of New Zealand's great glaciers. This is coming down at speed from the plateau where we landed. In 2015 one of these flights crashed into a deep crevasse killing pilot and all 6 passengers in poor weather conditions. Beauty and danger.

One of the four baby fox... Backlit at sunset, photo was taken handhold...

Ilya told me in the comment from previous photo, he just came back from there, he learned from other visitors that the mom was killed by a coyote some time ago, very sad. Actually it is the dad who is taking care of the pups...

A Red Fox (Vulpes fulva) roams his territory on Bonaventure Island for a morsel in the evening while the Northern Gannets incubate their eggs on the thousands of nests on the island east of Perce, Quebec, Canada.

Another one from the archives

Thanks for the visit guys..

No matter the weather, the hunt for food must always continue.

Vulpes Vulpes

Three cubs from a litter of six. They moved to a new den a few days after this, probably because of the presence of photographers.

Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)

This curious baby fox came out while moma was out getting food. Having a den in the middle of a town must be very interesting for these pups.

Vulpes fulva - on a very dark, dull day!

There is just something special about foxes - they are incredibly curious and intelligent animals, and I rarely have an opportunity to photograph wild foxes in their habitat

local vixen checking the area befire her cubs came out. a summer highlight for me sitting along a hedgerow most evenings hoping for a special moment.

Possibly my personal favourite
